No idea how to link a pic here, but the serration pattern is identical to my Military 2 SE.

My favorite products for my knives are Rem Oil spray, Boeing T-9 Boeshield, and Corrosion-X. I'm also happy to use WD-40 if that's what is available.

Re: Which Spyderco for a Reliable and Versatile EDC?
I've bought a bunch of Spydercos over the last year. I really like most of them, but honestly my favorite one is the Tenacious with CPM- M4 comboedge blade. The K390 'Lil Temp is a close second.
Having said all that, I agree with others when it comes to the PM2. It's probably the best choice for a ...

Re: Military VS Police
I feel like if there were more steel options, especially in SE, the Police would be more popular. The best full size serrated option is the K390 SE Police, by far. I love mine. I'd love to get a G-10 Police in CPM-M4 or CTS-XHP.

Boeshield T-9 is excellent, and is available on Amazon. I highly recommend it. Sentry Tuf Cloths and Marine Tuf Cloths are excellent as well. They're widely used by knife makers. Ernie Emerson recommended them to me.

Re: Not criticizing, just curious
As someone who grew up buying knives in the 1980's and early 90's, I can say that the quality of stuff today, even the cheap stuff, is far better in my experience. I've purchased a lot of Spyderco knives over the last 6 months, along with a few Emerson's and Pro-Techs. I've been blown away by the ...

Re: 15v and K390: Assuage my fears
A wipe down and a bit of lube on the pivot when new, and an occasional wipe after use should be fine. I use Boeshield T-9 and a Sentry Marine Tuf Cloth. These products are the best I've found. Well worth it.

Received my plain edge today from National Knives. This one is even better than the SE model I got a week ago. Beautiful polish, fit and finish is really just about perfect. This knife and the Sage 5 Maxamet have made me fall in love with 3" blades again. Well done Sal!

Excellent choices, Sal! I imagine something out of a James Bond film - you walking into a vast underground room with one of every Spyderco knife ever made...
