Re: That Metropolitan is mine !

Got mine 2 days ago and I didn’t realise just how much the UKPK could do with the traditional spring, and not the split-spring system now. The strength of the metropolitan is much more compared to the UKPK, while still being easy to open and close.

Sadly I think I’m going to return mine as ...

Re: Sage 6 opened in pocket and bit me good :)

I got bit recently because I'm so used to my Endura 4 NOT biting me when opening that I forgot my Cold Steel Recon was a lot harder to flip open. I gave the Cold Steel a light flip that'd open my ED4 no problem, yet that flip only opened the Cold Steel's blade halfway and it came crashing back down ...

Re: Goodbye Robert Redford

He was great. A man who could act. No steroids, no CGI, just a good old American actor who could hold a story together through his screen presence alone. There's no one like him in todays movies. I don't have any modern favourite actors. All my favs are from a bygone era.

So long Rob.

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

I stay away from crowds nowadays. I never liked crowds anyways, though when I spent my 20s in Taiwan, crowds were almost everywhere during the daytime. I never liked being around swarms of people. At best, it's annoying. At worst, it's ... well, I needn't say more. People tend to behave stupider ...

Re: What watch you're wearing?

Same here, still wearing the 6 daily but looking to upgrade. The 8 series starting price is on the high side, so I might get a second hand 7 series.

I got the 7 just last month as the store had reduced it by about £300 as an end of line model. I love the Fenix range but I'd never want to pay ...

Are there any watch lovers like me?

Seiko, omega, orient, and hamilton are some of my favorite watch brands.
Fenix 7X Pro Solar. I started with a 3 about ten years ago and never left the brand. Bit like Spyderco. When you find the brand that fits, why leave.

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

I've been interested in MA since 7. Started with mum taking me to local youth club. One day the youth organisers put on a kickboxing display for us kids. It led to a lot of after school mass fights where we all wanted to be Bruce Lee. :rofl

Years later the films started hitting the local cinemas ...

Re: That Metropolitan is mine !

I'd rather have a larger handle myself. In fact if I lived somewhere with silly knife laws I could see myself carrying a Police or Manix XL or something with the blade ground down to the legal limit.

They'd still be illegal in the UK because they lock. Even a 1" knife is illegal in the UK if ...

Re: Is the UKPK is actually legal in the UK?

It really depends. Mostly on your attitude. As long as you remain calm and polite, you can talk to the police officer for an hour. Yes they can confiscate it because it is in fact a knife, they'll give you all the paperwork and then you can challenge it in the court room. And most likely you'll ...

Re: Is the UKPK is actually legal in the UK?

It is completely legal by the word of the law. Some police officers might give you hard time, but you can explain to them in a calm manner that according to law it is completely legal and you want to speak with their superior. Whatever the conversation might be it's very important for you to be ...

Wow! Thank you! Interesting but bizarre!! Could you imagine having a knife with ALL of that?!?🤣 I suppose they are good for hunting zombies, hence the name?😵‍💫
Sadly this kind of knife is favoured by criminals in the UK, They're used to steal bikes and mopeds off people
