Re: MT46P/MT46S - Mule Team™ MagnaMax™ Release Info!
I’m going for plain edge first and if I can successfully make the transaction, go for a an SE. Would be my only SE fixed blade, and I only own 2 fixed blades ATM.

Re: MT46P/MT46S - Mule Team™ MagnaMax™ Release Info!
This has to be the most anticipated Mule release in years. I really hope you guys got enough bar stock to make this attainable for those of us not using bots and shiz to buy at 0900.

Re: MagnaMax wish list
For me it would be Native 5, Manix 2, Bodacious, Sage 6 (G-10 or CF), Native 5, and Native Chief.
I can see a lot of Taichung knives coming eventually in Magnamax as Spyderco tends to use them for all of their fancy/unique knives, but I doubt we will get the Delica/Endura/Stretch/Police models in ...

Re: Shaman SPY27 nearly protruding tip
So I don’t have this issue with the Spy because I don’t own that one but I do have the problem with my burlap S90V Shaman from knifecenter.
Someone pointed this out but it is 18000% due to the grinding of the blade behind the finger choil where it interfaces with the stop pin.

Re: Seki City back lock quality in 2022?
I have a few Seki City backlocks, and all have a tiny bit of lock rock. My Golden Native 5 has none. I still love the Seki lineup, but curious that after 40 years it hasn’t been eliminated. Perhaps the Native doesn’t have that issue because the bar is much thicker compared to the stock of the blade ...

Re: Stretch 2 xl In K390 At Last!
I don’t know why I said K390 in Cruwear… that makes no sense. I think I just have a dud Stretch 2. I bought the XL 2 in K390 and it’s awesome, especially for having no liners or washers. What makes a difference in it feeling more solid is, once you’ve broken the action in, to tighten down the body ...

Re: Why Did The Jumpers Fail?
For those of us with many Seki City back locks, it’s not even close that the Jumper line has the best backlock action, period. It’s better than the Delica, the Stretch 2(by a 100 miles!), Stretch 2 XL (both G10 and liner less FRN), Dragonfly line, etc.

Re: MagnaMax wish list
People say, no it won’t replace XYZ steel. Sounds like if it really has the properties of stainless K390, then it WILL replace S30V, S35VN, S45VN, S90V, S110V, and 20CV at minimum, by virtue of having more toughness than any of these steels, better or similar corrosion resistance, and better or ...

Re: Why Did The Jumpers Fail?
I love my K390 Leafjumper. It by far has the best FRN kickback action of any Spyderco. Only the G10 Stretch XL Cruwear is close. My Stretch 2 K390 is absolutely awful by comparison (won’t even snap shut and is difficult to shake closed one handed… can’t do it without blade play and also has lock ...

Re: Stretch 2 xl In K390 At Last!
If any of you also have a leafjumper, how does the Stretch XL compare in action? The Stretch XL g10 Cruwear is very smooth and flick open and snaps down when past the point of tension. The Rockjumper k390 in Cruwear is even smoother and very tight for an FRN clad knife. My stretch 2 on the other ...

Re: K390 Leafjumper or stretch
I have both and the grip for me is better on the Stretch but fit and finish and action on the Leafjumper is much better.

Re: CPM Prototype Steel
To me this is the grail of knives I want to carry. 15V and K390 are my favorite Spyderco steels and if you gave me a stainless analogue I don’t think I’d ever buy a knife in any other steel again.

Re: Seki City back lock quality in 2022?
I have a few Seki back locks and the only one with any lock rock, only a tiny bit is my Stretch 2 K390 FRN. The stretch xl in Cruwear does not but it has full metal construction covered by g10 scales. The best action out of them all is my leafjumper k390 and the XL. It’s sad the leafjumper is being ...

Re: Para3 cpm 15v BBB
I love this steel. Took my FRN model to a 3000 grit finish on diamonds though it was still cutting hair off the factory finish and a little stropping. A month back it got dropped by mistake and bounced all over the asphalt and was fine.

Re: Why no lightweight PM2?
Just to clarify, I am very careful with the keyed end of the FRN so it’s not wiggling because of that. I’m sure I’d love a PM2 configured like the Para 3 LW, but please give the thing 2 washers!

Re: Why no lightweight PM2?
Alongside the PM2 lightweight, I’d like to see the Para 3 and PM2 LWs design incorporate 2 PB washers. I hope the Para 3 CQI incorporates that. If I get a dead center one in the mail, is favoring the clip side a bit after the first flick. What is worse, is with 2 LWs in a row, I cannot get the ...

Re: 15V Regular Production Plea
I have a Manix 2 LW and Sage 5 in Maxamet and 15V beats it hands down. It doesn’t glass out and is so much easier to sharpen, is tougher, and way less chippy off the bat.

Re: LeafJumper
I bought a leafjumper to get into K390 because of the price. All I can say is wow, great ergonomics and I can fidget with its kickback as well as the compression lock. It’s amazing. Things I don’t like are primarily the grind, very uneven though sharp. One of these days I’ll get around to evening it ...

Re: 15V Regular Production Plea
I did buy the Military 2 and it’s awesome! I like it more than my s90 carbon fiber sprint. I can’t say enough about the stonewash finish, razor sharp, even grinds and very smooth action and great detent. I have both Para 3’s. I got the LW to be more of a user/beater but I love it so much I’m having ...
