Re: Sal, anything you´d like to share on the Golden made BACKLOCK Polestar? (Another "handle forward" knife?)

A comp lock Golden Polestar sounds like a really cool combo to me. Not sure what the difference between handle forward and not would be though?

The term "handle forward" is often misapplied to any knife where the edge extends to the handle. The term "Handle forward" is really only in ...

Re: PM2 real or fake

Hello,

I recently ordered my first Spyderco knife from amazon(Onkata seller) and was wondering if it was real. The only thing that makes me wonder is that the box says USA Made instead of Made in USA.

Thanks for your help!

it looks 100% legit to me. absolutely nothing to make me think its a ...

Re: Lefty PM2 variants please?

Or maybe they could just manufacure lefty blades that the owner could swap into their existing lefty handles.

???
With the new blades, Spyderco would also need to manufacture LH liners and LH scales. You'd be able to retain your RH clip, screws, and spacers.

If a left handed Spyderco user ...

Re: Lefty PM2 variants please?

Good afternoon all. I'm carrying my Lefty PM2 in S45VN and got to thinking how nice it would be to see some sprints of this model in some of the other steels that the PM2 has received over the years. Any of my fellow leftys interested in 15v, Cruwear, s90v, SPY27 or dare I dream, Magnacut?

I know ...

Re: Reveal 19 - Live!

I'm really happy about the Button Up and Mantra 4. I was pretty impressed with the prototypes at Blade Atlanta and Amsterdam this year. I wonder if this means they will discontinue the Astute, which is very similar in shape to the Mantra4. The Shaman Salt also seems great, I think the Caribbean ...

Re: Reveal 19 - Live!

Looks like Eric is firing directly across the bow of the Civivis and Kizers of the world (that is, China), with the Mantra 4 and the Button Up.

I think that's a good thing. Spyderco needs fresh, original, and desirable models in the sub $80 price range.

I'm definitely going to be a buyer for ...

Re: Spyderco paramilitary CPM D2

That is nice and I regret not getting it now. I am debating between the Micarta cru wear or the 15v Sprint. Love the micarta scales but love the finish on the 15v blade. Would buy both but also wanting a Bodacious spy 27 version to put AWT scales on it.

Get the 15V. They're sprint runs and once ...

Before I say anything else, yes, I recognize I likely voided my warranty. This was my own stupidity and I will accept the consequences!

Re: Washers or no washers?

Does anyone know if the old original H1 Pacific Salt (not pacific salt 2) ran on washers? I get some conflicting info when trying to search this. Some say none, some say just 1, and a couple said 2 washers. Anybody know definitively?

I have a Tasman Salt 1 and it has no washers. As far as I ...

Re: Did Spyderco introduce "Super Steel"?

If a friend who is not knife knowledgable at all and who is used to cheap flipper knives, asks me which Spyderco model should he buy that has a "super steel", which do you all suggest?

I would suggest the Para 3 LW in Magnacut is "The" super steel Spyderco to recommend to a non knife friend ...

Re: Gentleman's Ladybug/Manbug

@TkoK83Spy @Sharp Guy

I'm aware of the discontinued bolstered Manbug and the Pakkawood exclusive Ladybug. They are very nice indeed. I'd like to see the bolstered Manbug return, along with a solid G10 scales option.

Gentleman's Ladybug/Manbug

I wanted to see if there would be any interest in a slightly upscale version of the Ladybug and Manbug. Not necessarily an ultra high end version, but something that is a small step above FRN handles. I was thinking, for example, a version with G10 scales and full liners with a stainless backspacer ...
