Titanium Liners.
Any chance these will ever be offered? I would be happier to pay sprint run premiums for TI liners more than a new steel to be honest, would go a very long way in weight reduction especially when paired with aftermarket scales.

Re: Sage 6 first impressions
It's only there to add pressure and help the blade not swing out freely if you press the button while closed.
Yeah, I think theres a detent hole on the blade for the 2nd detent, I never checked but I feel like the opening action is snappier with the 2nd detent in. If anyone knows where to get a ...

Re: Sage 6 first impressions
Could someone enlighten my on the second detent? Are there any pics? Has anyone taken theirs apart and taken pics?
Take the show side scale off and there will be a tiny spring showing. Remove the spring and under that is the 2nd detent. Use something magnetic by the way. The spring is basically ...

Re: Sage 6 first impressions
I recently received an S30V Sage 6. I was going to wait for the S90V version, but decided to try the regular one – it looks very similar to a Sage 1 (except for obviously the different locks). So what's my opinion of the Sage 6 lock - it's a huge improvement to the comp lock! The button works ...

Re: Sage 6 first impressions
After spending a week with it as my EDC every day being able to remove the second detent would make it pretty much perfect, it feels (to me) almost identical to the original CF Sage5 which is one of my favorite of the entire line.
I haven't disassembled mine but I don't see a second detent ...

Re: Sage 6, WHO'S EXCITED
I think the Sage 6 will be great, and I’m looking forward to it.
But I am a little disappointed that it won’t be hosting Spyderco’s excellent ball-bearing lock, at least not yet. Maybe the Sage 7?
That's one I'm watching for I love my Manix but sometimes they're a little bigger than I want ...

Re: C240BKALBKCWP Black Cruwear Smock Exclusive
So aside paying a premium for a sprint, what does this really bring that the normal s30v version doesn't? I wouldn't call Aluminum vs Carbon Fiber a huge win either way. s30v vs Cruwear, Cruwear for durability but s30 from what I could find should hold an edge longer and be more corrosion ...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
@Ramonade Any tricks to cleaning the anodized blue handle? So far, I've tried Windex, alcohol, CLP, water. Nothing works.
I've just used soap and my finger and after rincing I used a soft cloath to clean them and it sorta worked. Left darker spots here and there.
I managed to scratch it ...

Re: Sage 6, WHO'S EXCITED
The CF/S90V might just dethrone my Mordax for pocket time.
So much more to love over the Smock: real CF, S90V, useable Spyder hole and full flat grind!
Is the Sage 6 on bearings, I don’t own any Sage’s yet?
I doubt the Sage 6 will be on bearings, but it's possible. I'd think that they'd ...

Re: DLC K390?
I'm not a fan of the matte texture of spydercos DLC. I would LOVE to see k390 with the TICN coating used on the rex 45 smock though.

Re: Mini Bodacious???
I couldn't even shake the LT3 LW shut. I'm sure like most seki models which have overly tight tolerances it would have eventually dropped shut with obsessive opening and closing, but who has the patience for that when for the MSRP it should do that out the box.
Ah, so the LW still suffers ...

Re: Sage 6, WHO'S EXCITED
All right, I'll be the first to admit I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of the Sage series. I only have one Sage, the Sage 2 framelock. There's just something weirding me out about the overall curves and shape of the knife. It's just me though.
But the button lock on the Sage really blows me ...

Re: Mini Bodacious???
Sold my LT3 because it felt fat and awkward compared to LeafJumper. It also had poor action even being a compression lock so maybe I had a dud but its par for the course with every seki I've owned without weeks of opening and closing. Mini bodacious could absolutely work and would absolutely ...

Re: Mini Bodacious???
The LT3 LW handle and blade are considerably thicker than the Bodacious. I have a LeafJumper, an LT3 LW and a Bodacious.
They are all great designs, sharing some characteristics. I'm more of a mid lockback guy than a Comp Lock guy, but the CL seems to allow a shorter overall knife with the same ...
