By far it is the PM2 Salt. However, I completely get the Lil Native votes.
I have a feeling that a combo edge Magnamax PM2 LW would beat my current.

Re: Shaman Sprint/Dealer's Exclusive planned?
Good news is that the Shaman is such a popular model it is almost guaranteed that there will be some Shaman exclusive in the future. There were 4 Shaman exclusives in 2025 alone. We are bound to see something else soon.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
One remaining bright spot is that models that have gone disco can be sold at a discount. This thread would still serve a purpose there.
Right now, in fact, National Knives has some solid deals, the best of which IMHO is the M4 Tenacious, which is one of my current faves. Some great deals on K390 ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I can’t help but wonder, was Spyderco losing money on the Rex-121 knives?
I heard something to confirm this while at the SFO when we were chatting about the new Sage pricing. With the inordinate amount of time and supplies necessary to finish this steel, this could have been the catalyst for ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
BentoBoxShop currently has their K390 Para3 exclusive on sale for $225 (vs usual $245).
Not a crazy deal or anything but mentioning since there has been some discussion of Golden-production K390 in other threads recently. (PM2 is currently still full $265 price, to save you a click.)
Thanks ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I just looked at Dack and it looks like all the Spydercos are now gone.
Does this have anything to do with the clamping down of MAP as of recent? Looks like we saw individual retailers getting shut down, and then larger shops like Freedom having to drastically alter their operations. Now Dack ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I don't have enough of an economic/business background to really form an opinion on this one way or another. I'm sure there are tradeoffs. My thoughts were more going toward someone who is in the market for (but not yet tried) a Spyderco , but were sent a link from a friend on a really good deal ...

Paging @Mrj! ;) I believe he has all of them and then some! :respect :bug-white-red

My favorite Para 3 ended up being a G10 Spy27 version. Haven't carried it once or used it at all but it's my favorite. (I carry and use the Spy27 Para 3 LW I won from the calendar contest, instead ...

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat
I've repeatedly heard about how ugly Spyderco knives are. I've actually always been attracted to the look of them personally. The hole in the blade is jarring when you first see one I can admit, but there was always something so unique about it that drew me to them over competing brands. Aside ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
MAP is minimum advertised price. Discounts only shown with login or in-basket are explicitly allowed.
I don't think that is correct anymore. Freedom Knife Shop had to drastically alter their in-cart discount policy and switch to a voucher program based on a percentage of purchased knives.
I ...

Re: I've got to have a Charisma!
I want one too. Hope it sells well so we can get a few with a more premium steel.
I'm guessing with the hole taking so much real estate, we'd be looking at premium steels that lean toward "tough" rather than "hard." Can you imagine that knife in Maxamet or Rex121?
One of the reasons I was ...

Re: Heat Pumps vs Gas Furnaces
I work in HVAC, although I'm more on the commercial side. Still, I'm on the distributor end, so some of what I do, including a lot of tech support, includes a lot of support for residential equipment.
Heat pumps in general have a different BTU scaling than furnaces. For example, you might have a ...

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat
Just messing around with my S2XLs. I noticed that on my plain VG10 S2XL Lightweight, my magnet doesn't stick to the clip like it does to my others (K390, PD#1, SPY27). I suspect it's titanium, although that doesn't make much sense and I didn't find anything that said the clip was Ti. I've had ...

Re: If there is only place for one 15V knife...
I’m actually going to say the comp lock version, and the new LW version.
If you’ve never handled the LW variant, it is a totally different knife than the standard backlock, and is so much more approachable, pocketable, and slicey.
However, the Lil’ Native comp lock is one of the finest knife ...

Re: New PM2 FRN
In short, the knife doesn't feel as 'glidey' or 'drop shut' as a regular PM2, but the action feels more controllable. I like both.
I always tightened up the pivot screw on the PM2 so it wasn’t drop shut. I don’t like blades that fly around easily. I’m considering getting the BD1N version even ...

Re: Who else is hyped for the Retract ?!
Handled the Retract today. Cool knife! Hopefully some of these pictures help you decide if you’d like to pick one up. Blade was centered, good and early lockup, a little bit of lockstick (which may be quite preferrable in the liner lock format). The detent was on the weaker side, but I like stronger ...
