My Manix 2 Black Salt arrived today, on Manix Monday - how appropriate! I like how the regular G-10 feels, but I do like the special G-10 on the Salt model even better (and it looks good too). :cheap-sunglasses

I've had plenty of "lower end" models that were downright perfect in fit and finish, so it's not always the high end stuff. That said, the one that always comes to mind for this topic is the Vallotton. So many pieces, so much machining and finishing, there are a lot of opportunities to screw up ...

Okay, Okay Woah! my new Spyderco Military 2 in 15V just came in I think this might just be the Sharpest brand new blade I have ever bought.

The phrase Stupid Sharp come to mind darn thing bit me already that tip is Wicked Sharp just a poke mind you barely felt it draw blood.

The other thing could be to observe how the spring is sitting in the slot when you take off one scale. If there is any play at all in the slot, it may be able to be shimmed on the side that would lift the spring up and away from the edge when closed.
