Re: Reveal 17 - LIVE!
Yes! Endura 4 in SPY27! I hope a serrated version comes out some day but this one is a must have for me! Cobalt blue FRN just as I had hoped in a previous thread!

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
I really like the Endura and was always interested in the all stainless steel variant but shied away from it because there was no way to disassemble it if I had to.
I saw this one at a local dealer about a month ago and didn’t realize that it was the new CQI’ed version until I was there yesterday ...

Re: Spyder Folks, convince me on the Endela.
... What are some good reasons for me and others to own and use an Endela?...
Perfect reason:
Unlike Endura and Delica the Endela can be had in VG10 ffg SE and with a great serration pattern.
I always wondered why the Endura is not offered in VG-10 FFG SE. One would think that would be an ...

Re: High Performance Delica Excitement
Maybe we'll ship them in socks?
sal
LOL. Please do. Then I’d have to buy both variants to try and, as a bonus I’d have a matching pair of Spydie socks to wear!
Thats the incentive to buy both versions!
but we have to sign an agreement to wear the socks before we can purchase or else ...

Re: High Performance Delica Excitement
The more I think about it the more I have a sinking feeling that these knives will mostly be safe queens never to be used; especially if there is only the certainty of a limited run with no promise of subsequent runs. Those that will be available will be directly from Spyderco (very briefly) and ...

Keeping my fingers crossed that enough of the hollow ground and/or appleseed variants will be produced to actually be able to buy one or both.

Re: What's the one you keep going back to?
As to the thread question, I have only come to appreciate Spydercos since late 2023.
I am going through a honeymoon phase right now carrying and trying several different models and variants of the same model in a few cases. Really thinking about it, I have probably carried a Delica 4 PE in VG-10 ...

Re: What's the one you keep going back to?
Pacific Salt
It's not my favorite Spyderco deaign by a long shot.
I prefer the size of the police and catcherman, the ergos of the Manix XL and Military, the geometry of the chief, etc.
but being a salt with a nice grip and good cutting action, I keep coming back to it.
I thought the Chief ...

Re: Folding knife for food or use in restaurants
I have had the rare occasion to have to resort to using my Endura 4 PE in VG-10 in a restaurant. It worked just fine. I used a wet napkin to wipe off the blade and when I got home a few passes on the Sharpmaker and it was good.
Because there are no blade length restrictions where I live, if some ...

I like the looks of that! It reminds me of honey or amber.
I have a set of scales arriving tomorrow for my Benchmade Bugout 535 as an experiment. If I like them I will look for some for some of my SAKs and Spydercos.
For some of us the color is ...

Re: how do you use your bugs?
My keychain knife is a Victorinox Manager for the scissors and pressurized pen.
I have just one of the run-of-the-mill saber ground foliage green Ladybugs in VG-10 that I always keep in my shaving kit as a backup knife for when I travel. I may have used it only once or twice, but it is reassuring ...

Re: C07S - Stainless Police SE
I think it was a Massad Ayoob article, probably in Guns or American Handgunner , that turned me on to the Police Model.
As for the slippery grip, I've wondered about having the handle checkered. In fact, I've wondered why checkering is seldom used on knives in general, or on replacement scales ...

Re: Poll: How many new to you Spyderco models in 2024?
Three for me.
Manix 2 LW
Police 4 LW (although mine happened to be the now discontinued K390 SE)
Chaparral SE
Not counting multiples of models I already owned because of “better get them before they are gone “ discontinuations (looking at you, LeafJumper) same knives but in different steels and ...

Re: Stainless steel cutting boards
Who has a logical explanation as to how a steel cutting board would be a good idea? Next, they will sell them as "Diamond Coated" so you can wear out twice as fast. How dumb.
How wonderful of an idea! With a “Diamond Coated” cutting board you can slice your food and sharpen your knife at the ...

Re: 3 Inch vs 3.5 Inch Spyderco: Any Difference?
Hi SEF,
I will generally carry as large of a blade as is legal to carry where ever I am. With that in mind, I would always prefer the extra 1/2".
sal
Thankfully, because of state pre-emption laws in Oklahoma there are no blade length or lock type restrictions anywhere in the state.
Since I ...

Re: serrated SPY27 folders maybe?
Manix 2 LW with some cobalt blue translucent FRCP scales, thank you!
I thought I read on this forum that Sal hinted that SPY27 might one day be coming to the Endura 4? An Endura 4 FFG SE in SPY27 with cobalt blue FRN scales is something I would jump on like a hero on a grenade (closed, of course)!
