Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

I just watched a video of a guy testing the HRC of 2 same model/same steel (Magnacut) knives, one being clean (satin) steel and the other DLC coated. The DLC blade gave a lower HRC rating than the satin blade and the guy claimed that a lot of heat is involved the process of applying the DLC which ...

Re: Magnacut Spydiechef

I'm a big fan of the Spydiechef, it was my first Spyderco and still carry it at least as much or maybe more than my PM2 or Para3. LC200N is a great steel but I'm all for a Spydiechef 2 or Spydiechef XL with Magnacut. Both are more than sufficiently stainless, Magnacut just wins in every other ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Sal or Eric, would it be a realistic assumpion that we can expect a Magnacut Sslt version of the Military 2 using the "DLC" coating that was mentioned at the recent SHOT show?
And the point James mentioned about the Salt scale texture being a pocket shredder, why not smoothen a line into the scale ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Good evening, gents,
While I don't post here often, I recently stumbled upon an incredible knife—the MILITARY 2 BLACK G-10 BLACK BLADE C36GBK2—that I believe deserves more attention. Today, I received this knife, and it truly is a remarkable work of art. This marks my fifth Spyderco acquisition in ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

I just ordered a Crucarta PM2 and can't wait to get it in my pocket where it belongs.

I want to get some aftermarket scales for the thing to make it my own, but as the liners are different than all other PM2s, I'm wondering if anyone has some links to stores that sell aftermarket scales for this ...

Re: Ikuchi, the best Spyderco folding filet knife?

Great info! Yes I guess I will look into getting my hands on that green Catcherman with LC200N instead of an Ikuchi. But if I find one in the future, I might still join the Ikuchi club because It is a very nice knife.

I have an Ikuchi. I would say no. Not only are you going to rust the thing with ...

I say: For that get the current Catcherman sprint run as long as you can..

Also: Welcome! :smlling-eyes
I understand your point, but I'm not a big fan of the CRN linerless models. if a fancy G10 model of the Catcherman comes out, I will be the first to pick one up :smirk

Re: Kindness of Your Hearts...

I'm new here, and really happy about these forums for all the information that can be found on steels and all different Spyderco knives and the kind spirit that can be felt.

I own a Spydiechef and have the nice looking Stetch XL coming my way soon, probably also a Magnacut or a Cruwear PM2.
