I know the c41gbl (the 2001 native 1 bf.com) was made in PE and SE
I have a SE numbered non-bf.com one. was a plain edge variant ever made without blade forums markings?

Re: Spyderco service really this bad
From the post it sounds like he stripped out the Torx head of the screw
This is not terribly hard to do if the threads have a thread locker on them. This is very common to find on knives, guns etc. You don't want the screw to back out and lose the knife or parts . I assume any screw on a decent ...

Re: What is your all time favorite steel?
For general use I actually prefer a non -steel talonite/stellite
For a blade steel actually made out of steel zdp-189. M390 and magnacut all work great for me

foil paper wrapping on old C02
I found a nos mariner (g-2 marked) and it came wrapped in a foil paper. I think I remember some Japan models coming that way in the 90s but am not certain. does anybody have more information?

Seriously guys. Brick and mortar is done. Online retailers will consolidate into a few large sites. Online retailers mostly differentiate on price and selection. Might as well cut to the chase and either sell direct on Spyderco.com or on Amazon (or both ...

The owner has had a pharmacy license for close to 50 years so retirement or change in work load may be a reason. Hope a happy healthy retirement is the plan!!!
the website was a bit cumbersome to use but they were great on the phone
I remember learning about them 25+ years ago on the knife forums ...

I would love to see a section for discontinued products and images on the site again. this is very helpful when buying on the aftermarket
I would also love to be able to have products clickable by model
overall looks much cleaner and works well

Spyderco native with crucible marked blade
in the last 6 months I saw a native with crucible marked on the flat of the blade on eBay. It had already sold when I got home that night
I can not find the listing now but did find this on blade forums thread about it

Spyderco Native active duty OIF/OEF knives
I was wondering what models exist of these
I have found the following numbers/variations
c41pstn. have variations of OIF, OEF OND
c41tn2
c41tnps 101st taskmasters
c41psbn5 operation inherent resolve
the spydiewiki is incomplete on this.

The other Never Summer Native
C41NSPBBK5
This is the newer black one with s30v
the original red firefighter one comes up for sale not infrequently but I have never seen this model for sale anywhere.
Was in really low in production?
anyone familiar with this particular release?

This is the original stretch with the kraton inserts but partially serrated. Neither the Spyderco website nor the spydiewiki list the model but recently picked one up so they obviously exist

one thing about the numbered knives. I don't find any thing special about them other than they tend to be in mint or near mint condition on the secondary market. People willing to expend that kind of money on such knives on the whole take outstanding care of them

Re: Collectors Club #001
I have bought from that seller. none of the cc 001 though
he is not the original cc member from what I recall. while his prices on the 001 pieces are higher than I would consider paying, he has nice rare examples of older spydercos. He is a good seller and is willing to be flexible .

Re: Which Spyderco for a Reliable and Versatile EDC?
I like the Manix a lot. however it is bigger than many knives and is it more noticeable in the pocket than many others. the lightweight ones are easier to carry. there are a huge number of steel choices available
the pm2 is a great knife as well. I only have the left handed one .
that being said ...
