Re: Nitro V trouble
I bought a few Boker Solingen Magnacut knives and they all have heat treat issues. Half the edge does not deburr and does not get razor sharp. It's a **** joke. Then I bought a Boker Plus Hebdo in Nitro V and same thing. I'm at a loss. I'm posting this to say that Boker is unbelievably bad and that ...

How is XHP in practice? On paper much different than something like S30V. Especially with black G10 I am not sure if there will be a ton of demand, especially if Eric says there are some “exciting” ones coming out ...

Brunt Workwear are selling Manix 2s with their name on it. Smh. This is clearly illegal.

Re: Titanium Tenacious
Well, the response on the Millie club which has a buttload of members is not good. Even if 8Cr can perform, most "knife people" will snob it immediately.
And I have several 8Cr Spydercos and honestly don't appreciate it in PE. If I take my Bow River out I usually have to take it to the stones ...

Re: Titanium Tenacious
Oh, I'm grabbing them for sure.
And I think keeping them in 8Cr was a genius move. Now people can get one of Sal's most iconic designs in a sexy Ti/RIL configuration without investing in sharpening systems that cost more than the knife. Anyone can maintain 8Cr, and it performs better than most of ...

Re: Fake Manix 2 LWs on Ebay?
I made a post about this on Reddit a little while back because of how they just showed up on Ebay. I looked around and I couldn't find any fake Manix 2 Maxamets and S90Vs so I was a bit confused. Plus I've never seen clones come in a real looking box with the grey stripe (clones usually have black ...

You guys keep me honest, but Chicago Knife Works has the Zoomer for $225 w/ new customer signup.

This is the real deal folks...

Re: Heat treatment of the Taiwanese blades
I know this is an old thread but Jesus. The ignorance and stupidity of this guy is alarming. Just wanted to say point blank, if Spyderco is working with someone regardless of who and where, you know it's going to be top notch. Its that simple. That's it. Also I wish I could see dudes face. It's 2024 ...

Para 3 s45vn question
I have two Para 3 digi camos and the camo design is different between the 2 which I think is cool but on one the font of writing is more bold and darker than the other. Is that normal? I'm assuming they are just made in different years so everything won't be the exact same.

Ebay seller beware
Not sure if I am allowed to post Ebay names but gemstonewholesales on ebay has been selling MANY fakes and has made thousands of $$ over the past few weeks. I've messaged him nicely about it which he ignored and reported him which Ebay did nothing. Just beware of this clown.

Most likely a perfectly aligned burr folding over during the first cuts, like many mentioned in this thread.
I found this booklet about the science of the burr, "Knife Deburring" by Dr. Vadim Kraichuk, very insightful.

Re: Shiny spots-please help.
The others have given solid advice for fixing the immediate issue, so I'll just add:
You may want to pick up a loupe. An inexpensive jewelers loupe can really help diagnose edge weirdness. I saw Sal recommend one a while back, and as always, he knew what he was talking about (that kid is going ...

Re: Shiny spots-please help.
I always thought these shiny spots mean that area is dull, flat, or rolled so that's what I'm assuming it means.
Both seem to cut paper just as smooth/buttery with the shiny spot as without it so I'm not sure what's going on.
Seems like a flawed hypothesis then. Polished edges and coarse ...
