Re: My on going salt steel comparison journal
That's crazy. After you clean it up, are you going to put it back to work and put it up dirty? If it happens again, I would send it to Spyderco and see if they can do any investigation. I haven't tried salt water on my Salt 2 in H2 yet, but I've definitely folded it up and put it away wet without ...

Re: 2025 Forum Calendar Contest!
This Pacifc salt 2 in H1 was my first entry into the world of spyderco. I live on the ocean, and make my living being on the water everyday, so i needed a knife that would never let me down. Years later and its still as trusty as ever I took this shot because the lighthouse is the most recognizable ...

Re: Rustproof Spyderco suggestions needed!
pacific salt 2, might feel most familiar to your polices. H2 is gonna be (atleast on paper) more rust proof than lc200n, but in oractice they are pretty close unless youre dealing heavy salt exposure. PE i like lc200n better, and serrated its h2 for sure.

H1 pacific salt PE. Only bought it because of the rust proofness, and it started an obsession.

I dont think i have anything that keeps a usable edge longer, or takes as much abuse as my h1/h2 serrated.

Re: How to sharpen Spyderco serrations?
As others have mentioned, sharpmaker. Its really easy. Just watch sals intstructional video. If i really need to clean up a serration (or im doing a comboedge) ill use the round rod on my worksharp guided system, but 90% of the time a few minutes on the sharpmaker its back to even better than ...

Re: What is the single best spyderco configuration you own?
Boring answer, but Atlantic Salt In SE H1 and yellow frn scale.
Its just my perfect work knife. Easy to find handle, feels great in hand shackle key gets plenty of use and a steel that never lets me down. Also in, what is in my opinion, its best edge style.

Seems fine to me. Brushed some on and no bleed on the qtip. Honestly though though this was my only knife where the pivot coating wasnt totally worn off from just usage. Wouldnt stress it too much acetone or not, itll wear off ...

Re: Any Double Bladed Desires?
Id like to see it. I carry a PE and SE eveeyday for work anyway. 1 tool would make my pockets lighter.
Maybe too big of a wish but id love to just see a whole rigging/ sailing tool. PE with some sort of pointy tip, some sort of blunt tip SE, and a marlin spike. Basically the tusk with an extra ...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Well this was the toughest judging ive done yet. Well done everyone, each picture had a case to be #1, but i had to it down.
In first place is barnaclesonaboat and his monochome shot. Its really a tasteful picture and striking even without really any color. Well done

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
