Re: Chief Crucarta
Just got mine in this afternoon. You can tell this model is gonna have some funny centering issues just because of the micarta w/o liners, but nothing worse than what happens on the LW models. Overall much better feel than the LW thanks to PB washers and much more comfortable scales, but not giving ...

Re: Chief Crucarta
I paid for the shipping upgrade so mine should arrive tomorrow. Probably won't be able to get the package until I get back from an event in the evening but I'll post some impressions & images tomorrow night.

I slapped an order in the second I saw the e-mail from DLT this morning. Been dying for this one!
@Red Leader, this one still has PB washers, right?

Re: Native Chief User Stories?
Thanx for the thread James.
Nothing like "Real-World-Testing". I'm interested to hear experiences.
I just received my production sample of the Cruwear/Micarta version. A nice combination and it's in my pocket.
Actually, quite impressive is my biased opinion. Eric did skillful job refining the ...

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2
This one seems slightly off-center towards the clip side and I couldn't seem to get it any more centered with a fair bit of fiddling, but it's only a slight nudge and everything else about the knife is flawless. I've had bad luck with Manix 2 LWs having moderate to severe lock stick, but this is the ...

It arrived today, and man it is a looker for sure. So glad they went with stonewash instead of satin; maybe that's just a necessity with 15V, but I much prefer stonewashed finish to any kind of satin. Action and lockup are flawless, and the factory edge is ...

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2
I saw KnivesPlus had a modified 15V LW Manix 2 in stock with their exlusive "midnight blue" AWT scales, and I had to grab one. Looking forward to giving 15V a shot finally.

Got a Military 2 sprint in S90V/CF on the way. This is the only one in the line I haven't tried, so if I'm not a fan of this one I think that'll just be it with the entire series.

MidwayUSA has the Military 2 S90V/CF sprint for ~$228 USD:

I was able to stack a code on top of this (15MUSA I think) that brought it down to like $190 shipped. Seems like a code I had access to not shopping at Midway for a while, but worth a ...

KnivesPlus also has some good quality ones I've used before. These are the ones AWT ships with certain scales like the Native LW that add the washers back.

Ya mine doesn't have that texture on either side. I'm almost wondering if this is even legit, but I've never heard of National Knives selling clones, even unknowingly.

Re: New Satin PM2 Salt - Scale surface is different on each side
Mine has the matte finish on both sides.
Yea I suspected this is what it was supposed to look like. Like Manixguy said, maybe this missed QC and the show side scale just wasn't finished on the surface.
I'm probably going to swap it over to AWT scales anyway, but still kinda sucks these ...

New Satin PM2 Salt - Scale surface is different on each side
I just received my new PM2 Salt in the mail today, and while putting on my LynchNW clip, I noticed that the black part of the scales was not quite the same on each side of the knife:

Re: Have you ever sold a Spyderco, regretted it and bought a replacement later on
I've been regretting selling my PM2 Salt lately. So much so I ordered one of the satin ones tonight when someone mentioned they were back in stock at National Knives. Something about that knife keeps calling me; same for the Bodacious, which I'm just holding out for a better configuration.

Re: Knives you wanted to dislike but ended up loving
I have similar admiration for my Delica Wharncliffe. It does everything well, and makes me wish most blades were generally thinner.
This is one of the knives that has put me pretty firmly on the "thin stock / cutting geometry" folding knife path. The Sage is probably the thickest EDC knife I ...

BladeHQ dropped burple s110 Para 3 no forks special.
Can anyone explain the no forks thing?
From their website:
At Blade HQ, we believe knives are better than forks. Always.
Zero Forks is our rally cry against the restrictions, shadow bans, and dull policies that stand in the way of ...

Re: Are the CruCarta Natives still happening?
If they can't get the linerless micarta to work, sell the knives to DLT as their purple G10 exclusive and to Knife Center as their smooth G10 exclusive. We already know linerless G10 is strong enough.
