Re: 2026 Forum Calendar Contest!
Taking advantage of the wild fire smoke and window blinds playing with the ambient light. Just a Spyderco UKPK Titanium resting on a sedum that hangs out next to a window. UKPK Titanium chosen as I aquired it this year second hand as a grail of mine.

Re: Calendar Contest Reminder & Request for Feedback
I'm struggling to find time this year and being without a camera and computer, worried that my submission taken and edited with a phone might look like a grift for a free calender. I personally don't care if people join the forum just for the contest, you don't have to be a regular member here to ...

Re: S110V / S90V difference
For me I include s110v as a salt steel even if the knives aren't made as such. I think the steel peaks with the UKPK. The UKPK design doesn't encourage any hard use and s110v combined with the blade shape and geometry of the UKPK leaf is a monster. Ive never had any issues with chipping. Even though ...

Re: New TUFF Cru-wear
The 113V on the blade means that it was originally designated to a collector club member. There's different tiers of collector club but they're all pretty serious expense wise. One of the tiers will give you not just any new model but any sprints and exclusives. Basically that's not a DLT knife, and ...

Re: Any chance at a CPM 3V sprint run?
I do love my Temperance CruWear SE, so much so I bought 2. It would be so much fun to try 3V SE in conjunction with the Temperance's gorgeous serrations and a good Spyderco heat treat.

I've been hoping for the same. Manix XL would be the dream but I'd be interested in any model just to try 3v with a Spyderco heat treat.

Re: Salt crusted Salts. Loving it.
I've never understood how edge retention was the only sexy attribute for blades. H1/2 is just as radical as Rex 121. I'd love to act like I need a PM steel that was developed for casting space shuttle parts, but if I'm honest with myself my lc200n knives always bring me the most joy and it must be ...

Re: A small CruCarta knife?
Usually the smaller the blade the more I like to up the edge retention. A CruCarta Lil Native though would intrigue me since it's such a little tank of a knife.

Re: Manbug Wharnie variants?
The smaller the blade the more s110v shines as a sharpen once maybe twice a year blade that is also basically a salt steel. They'd have to ship it over to Seki though.
More realistically since there might be some left over I'd love to see PD#1 get teeth. If Spyderco doesn't want to do an SE Endela ...

Re: The Lil Temperance 3 Lw, Sal thank you so much for creating it!
One of Spyderco's best hard use work knives. I don't know why Sal is trying to keep it on the secret menu calling it an SD knife. The LW particularly shines because the FRN handles are completely contoured on the edges and even around the comp lock. The serrations are also gorgeous on this model ...

Loved the SE version so much I bought a back up a couple sales ago and contemplated buying a 3rd. Perfect serrations, perfect ergonomics, in possibly the most perfect steel for the application.

Re: Which one for the next - birthday present
Voted for the Salt 2 SE. Lc200n in SE is one of those perfect combinations. It's a sweetheart of a steel to sharpen. If your sharpening skills are lacking lc200n will be very rewarding and make you feel like a rockstar.
Since you like the UKPK if you can track down a lc200n SE version I think you ...
