Re: Could we ever see a PM3 LW in K390?
I would buy one. Para3 (both LW and regular) is my favorite knife and K390 is up there with my most loved steels.

My first dye attempt. Both salts. I particularly like the orange Dragonfly.
Also, I was impressed at how easy and simple the Native 5 is to disassemble/reassemble and the Dragonfly wasn't even too bad (and I was dreading it after last time I did it with a different knife ...

I use mineral oil most often but have also been known to use frog lube and ballistol.

Backlocks are great until you have to disassemble the knife then compression lock wins each and every time.

Re: Military 2 vs PM2 vs Para 3 G10 magnacut salt (fishing)
20250901_210644.jpg You will be satisfied with the M2 Salt. I cleaned some Salmon last night, using PM2 and M2. I thought rhe M2 would be too big but it wasn't. Both have the excellent grip with the textured/milled G10 handles especially when your hands are slippery with fish blood and slime ...

Re: For the heck of it.
That describes every knife purchase I make, lol! :rofl
Same !!
Well … I use them all .
I got the Delica cruwear, I just wanted it.
Hah same for me - I'd find a use for it though.
The last knife I bought and received that fits the bill was not a Spyderco, it was the ZT 0562cf. It is a ...

Re: Military 2 vs PM2 vs Para 3 G10 magnacut salt (fishing)
i was going to suggest the military because the longer blade will give you better geometry for cleaning fish due to the taper of the blade. in other words, more of the blade is thinner compared to the shorter blades. but even if you're not cleaning fish with it, i'd still recommend the military ...

Re: Military 2 vs PM2 vs Para 3 G10 magnacut salt (fishing)
I've pre-ordered it.
I have a Catcherman for cleaning fish since I do think a bit of flex and a very thin blade is needed for that.
This would just be a general blade to have on me. I do sometimes fish with braided line in the salt and yes, I am often having to trim it.

Military 2 vs PM2 vs Para 3 G10 magnacut salt (fishing)
I want to grab one of these but I cannot decide which one I want. The scales look really cool combined with the blacked out look.
In my collection, I've got a bunch of para 3/para 3 lightweights and one pm2 so I have a good sense of the size difference. I really enjoy the para 3 size and find it to ...

Re: Has anyone had a UKPK confiscated by police in the UK?
That's an interesting question and I'd also be curious to hear others experiences.
Based on what I know, if you are stopped (even in some parts of the US), it's more about the belief about what your intentions are with the knife and if you have a legitimate reason to carry it. If the stated reason ...

Re: Specifically, what does Spyderco do to fix stripped clip screw holes?
Interesting and timely topic. Only the other night I ended up rather carefully taking my oscillating tool to my K390 Delica clip screws that were stripped to cut a line that I could use a slotted driver on. Luckily there was no collateral damage.

I am also very tempted by this one.
Two things give me pause:
1. I'd like it in SPY27.
2. I'd rather it had the compression lock so it's easier to disassemble/clean/maintain.
