Re: Sal asks you to design a Spyderco.
Hi Robin,
That's an interesting piece. Did you make that? Did you submit that to Peter?
sal
Yes, it is my third ever folder, and a design that I've been brewing for years in my head. I asked Peter to use the Spydiehole and submitted it to Eric in person at the Amsterdam Meet.
We've ...

Re: Sal asks you to design a Spyderco.
Without getting too much hate, I do not have a design. I Have an existing knife I retired that honestly became a ghost- Only because it wasn’t built with the intention to last. Sal has several big knives that fit the bill, and have 2-3 aspects of the knife I’m gonna show, just not this package ...

I don’t think Spyderco really goes hard on Dealers for selling purchased stock that hasn’t moved, and will let a dealer sell crazy low for 48 hours to move some merch.

Re: Chinese VG10 is great
All steel on the Temu/Ali really is ghost steel, and if they are shaping the landscaping of steel coming out of mainland china, they can call it whatever they want, end user can’t verify.
Of course the steel on knockoff sites is suspicious. I just glanced on AliExpress to see what kind of ...

It's only in the knife enthusiast world that people have started sniffing steel designations like wine corks and testing them in baguettes.
This absolutely should be in Knife memes 🤣

I don’t have a 15V, so I can’t tell you how I feel about the steel, but if I read the room on how aswesome it is, and could only own one…

Not to be the “technically” guy, but if Spyderco made the piercing part serviceable, that would only be the part needed to be a super steel.
I’d 100% buy a $25 spyderco can opener in #PD-1, with a pry edge. Been using a busted can opener for years LIRL
