Re: Janky grind on K390 Delica Wharncliffe

Not the worst I’ve seen on a wharncliffe blade. I had a Rough Rodger wharny once that was more like a full on recurve! But it was very cheap. …unlike the Delica. Send it back if you can. One of the main draws of a wharncliffe blade is the edge is easy to sharpen - yours is not going to be, and beca...

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?

Here in the U.K. Public perception has never been an issue for me, government imposed laws have. If you were to believe the government and in turn the mainstream media in the U.K, ANY knife carrying person is to be automatically vilified and should be considered a killer-at-large. There was even tal...

Re: Reveal 15: Shivering with Anticipation

I’m still “shivering with anticipation” for knives that were revealed two reveals ago.

I’m not sure how much more shivering I can do until the day finally comes when I get to have a Magnacut UKPK in my cold, shivering, near lifeless hands! :smirk

Re: Your Ideal Folder for Hiking & Backpacking is....

It really depends exactly what you think you would be cutting, also One man’s hike is another man’s expedition. My HH UKPK does pretty much everything I’d require of a folding knife for what I would expect to be cutting on a single day, home before dark type of hiking and backpacking trip. I’d carry...

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?

Blue G10 and Spy27 would be amazing!

The more I use Spy27, the more I like it. Takes a hair popping edge very easily and keeps hold of it well too.

…and Cobalt Blue G10 would just be the icing on the cake.

Re: UKPK Magnacut?

I’m Really excited for this one even if it is in the knife-normies favourite blade shape… Or as Wranglerstar would put it, an East-coast man’s favourite blade shape. 😀 Knife normie? I don’t get the shade thrown here. Theres a reason why leaf shape blades are often used in spyderco’s designs, functi...

I have have my titanium scales and t-8 torx / driver ready and waiting for it’s day one release. I like yellow but like titanium more. Re: UKPK Magnacut?

I wonder if we’ll ever get drop point variations of either Spy27 or Magnacut? So far only BD1N normal production and S30V for special production run for the droppy blade.

Looking forward to finally trying out some Spyderco Magnacut though.

UKPK Magnacut?

The UKPK salt in CPM Magnacut, anyone know when this will be up for sale?

I’m assuming sometime in 2024 but would like to know exactly when to expect its release.

Thanks.

Re: Food Safe Lube/Grease for pivots?

Wahl Clipper Oil.

It can be made significantly more food safe by using it on your pivots only, don’t pour it in your sandwiches. 😀👍

Re: Is the Urban back at 2.61 inch blade ?!

The poorly received HH G10/S90v special was a short version, and is Marketed as a 2.44 inch blade. The base FRN/N690 version is 2.61 inch and the pinky red HH FRN/S30V special was 2.61 inch. I don’t know about the damasteel version, it was far too rich for my blood - the white g10 and Damascus hurt ...

Re: Mini Yojimbo Prototype ?

I do like that they have given it the well-suited wire clip and not just lumped on the overwhelmingly large and ill matched spoon clip like they did on the lil native Slippie, because you know, lanyard holes are that important. 😆

Re: Mini Yojimbo Prototype ?

I love small sub3” Wharncliffe style blades and the compression lock is my favourite locking mechanism, so naturally the Microjimbo should be a no brainer, a guaranteed day one purchase for me and one that I can say I’ve been looking forward to since it was introduced in reveal 13 …but upon closer i...

Re: Next spyderco?

Looking at the possibility of buying a Watu, just not at their current U.K. prices.

Also finger crossed for the Magnacut UKPK to release sometime soon. New year present to myself maybe? Anyone here know when?
