Re: H1Spyderco Machete?
This is sounding quite interesting. If it doesn't have a handle, would that make it yet another mule team variation? Combining ideas from the other thread, we would have: mule team, 6" mule team (XL?), machete mule team.

Re: Destroyed Pants
pants getting destroyed from sharp nails?
geeze.
I mentioned that due to personal experience. Lately, the nail on my right thumb has had a tendency to split down the middle, usually from not paying enough attention when I pry on something with just the side/edge. If it sticks out a bit, it can ...

Re: Destroyed Pants
In the photo of the OP, the wear does not appear to be from a clip. That would be on the inside of the flap fabric. The shown wear is opposite the clip at the end of the handle. Some possible causes: not having smooth scale material, not having a smooth end of handle design, or even the repeated ...

Re: Beautiful packaging
I can see keeping a box such as CRK as that is also used to hold the tools that came with that knife. But, other than the perception of having it for possible resale later, once the knife is removed, of what use is the box? What does it contain of any value? As sturdy as Spyderco are, it would ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
(And I hope it's okay I'm posting these hapless comments and questions. I may have been bit hard, but I have no illusion about my lack of knowledge and wisdom, despite spending most of my free time watching Spyderco related videos. Sorry if this is completely out of place...)
I have not been ...

Re: H1Spyderco Machete?
There was mention of some different ideas earlier, a PE variation possibility, weight forward, with SE, but being able to use the back of the blade to press on with the other side. It may be possible to combine some of this. I'm just thinking out loud, throwing ideas on the wall to see what may ...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week - Book
As has been said before, if use the non-winning photographs from the Forum Calendar Contest competition for a book, you'll end up with many interesting, high-quality shots.
I'm not a lawyer, but am a former aspiring pro photographer and former ASMP/PPA member, where I learned a few things ...

Re: H1Spyderco Machete?
What do you all think of a two handed machete? Forward position for more balance and rear position for hacking. I do like the idea of a 1/4” threaded pommel that can take plastic spacers or metal weights to change the balance.
They use them frequently over here for sugar cane, although rather ...

Re: Talking Mule Team Re-runs
The post just above by sage047 gave me another idea: pre-order, paid in full, with a 30 day delay before shipment. I wonder how many flippers would be willing to have their funds tied up for that long before they could be offered for resale. The 'available' count could be decremented by some amount ...

Re: I suggest we discuss a new forum knife
We've tried for a forum knife many, many times. The last time the close consensus was for a UKPK so those in restricted areas could participate. I am out of suggestions as there is no one knife that will meet all wants.
When looking at the Birdseye Maple Chaparral on the Spyderco site, there ...

Re: Wharncliffe Delica interest
In my collection of 30+ Spyderco, I have so far only purchased one model that was a variation of one I already had. I bought a Delica 4 K390 Wharn to join my Delica 4 Superblue/Zome.
I like my little Wharn collection.

Atlantic Salt meets Atlantic salt at Emerald Isle Beach, NC

A Native 5 Salt was clipped in the pocket of my swim trunks, but I didn't get a photo of that one.

Re: Talking Mule Team Re-runs
Now that serrated mules are a thing, any re-run in SE would have a strong pull I think.

I'd also be interested in DLC coated tool steels like M4 or K390 or 10v in a mule. SE DLC M4 sounds great...
That captured a couple of my thoughts also, SE and DLC. Perhaps find something that sold out ...

Re: Military 2 Tanto
That's almost like saying they shouldn't do an SE version of anything either as there is already a Ginzu. I'm certainly glad we have SE Spyderco. And, as far as I know (which I'll admit isn't much), there is no requirement that all tanto profile blades also be beefy either. As for Cold Steel, I don ...

If something like that happened with me, I would gladly go to the end of the line. And, then, "now that I'm at the end of the line, cancel my order."
