Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on the Tenacious as 2023 is nearing its end. In 2008 the Tenacious debuted and not without some controversy. Many declared this Chinese Spydie as heresy or junk with a Spydie bug on the blade. For a lot of others it was an introduction to Spyderco, a favorite a...

Re: Next spyderco?
I second the Native 5, but would probably go with Magnacut, just because it is a cool steel, both for attributes and current "latest and greatest" status. The lightweight N5s are great models, but the AWT scales I just put on my Magnacut model take it to a whole new level (though for $100...

What was your first knife?
Before we all knew the appeal of spyderco cutlery what was your very first knife? Mine was a victorinox classic sd, and I still have it after all these years, missing the toothpick and tweezers of course but otherwise still fully serviceable.

Re: I don't understand automatics.
My oh my, is this a long thread lol, part of the appeal of auto ownership is only understood by owning one imo, nothing beats the feeling of taking a knife out to use it and having it nicely deploy automatically, the feeling of having a knife snap out and lock into place with a satisfying snap and r...

Next spyderco?
Looking for some forum advice for my next irresponsible purchase, I’ve got a crucarta pm2 s30v pm3, lc200n Atlantic salt, assist vg10, and manix 2 lw s110v, I typically like 3” and change-ish edc type blades, what’s the next knife to add to the collection?

Favorite non spyderco knives?
Just curious what other forum members like for knives not made by spyderco, one of my personal favorites besides SAKs is this Mikov 241 predator in n690, I’ve always thought lever locks were super cool and this was my first auto and holds a special place in my collection.

Re: Next Spyderco?
Hello everyone. Thanks for all of the threads on the forum. I've been lurking and learning for just a bit, recently here, but over on BF also. My first Spyderco should arrive soon (PM2 Cru-wear/G10), but I'm already thinking about the next one. I bought the PM2 because I wanted to try the compressi...

S110V sharpening tips
Just picked up a spyderco manix 2 LW for $100 on sale local, I’ve heard s110v can be a bear to sharpen but I couldn’t resist the price, anyone have any experience on hand sharpening s110v they can share?

Crucarta PM2 aftermarket scale options
I’ve been using my crucarta pm2 for a little over a month now and really like the knife but I’m not a huge fan of the micarta, the texture and feel is good but I don’t like how easily they get dirty, I know they can be washed but I don’t want to constantly wash them, especially on a knife that doesn...

Hand sharpening tips and techniques for even bevels?
Hello everyone, after sharpening my Atlantic salt by hand I was able to get the knife sharp enough for my needs, but I am disappointed by the uneven secondary bevel, I tried putting sharpie on before sharpening and frequently checking and that helped some but I frequently do a pass or two at too low...
