Searched your posts to no avail, so how'd you force such a great patina pattern?

Started off by soaking the blade for 30 minutes in apple cider vinegar to get a nice dull patina. Then mixed Grey Upon Dijon mustard with apple ...

Not sure about FRN but I had my GP REX 45 Manix 2 in FRCP crack on me. It is a heavy user and noticed the crack after some garden use. I just swapped them out for AWT scales. Didn't send it in cus I disassembled it to dye the original scales and that voided the warranty anyhow. Love the new scales ...

Strong, yes. Unbreakable, absolutely not. The reason I replaced the lightweight scales is because they cracked. Not even sure how it happened. The only thing that kept it from completely breaking was the little steel insert by the blade.I did Rit Dye the scales about 4-5 months before this happened ...

Not a great picture, the hump in the handle is gone and the edges are contoured instead of blocky. To me it's way more comfortable in the hand.

That is good. What about WD 40?
No WD 40, not a big fan of the smell. I just blow it out real good with the compressor. For adhesives I just use rubbing alcohol.

Faucet, Dawn dish soap, toothbrush and a air compressor is all I use. I live in the desert so no oil needed.

Manix 2 LW. Did the AWT scales on the SPY 27 & REX 45. On the REX 45 I also heat treated all the hardware bronze and Cerakoted the clip OD Green
