Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
@Wartstein: To be honest, I cannot explain it. The Tenacious s35vn, for sure, is a good knife. But it does not blast me off my seat like a Delica Wharncliffe K390. "Missing the spirit" may describe my feeling. :) This I actually can fully understand! :open-grin For me too there are those ...

I absolutely agree to @zuludelta.
Imho, too, saving some more money for a premium spyderco makes more sence.

Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
I agree with @Skywalker.
For the price of a premium steel Tenacious, e.g. a Delica Wharncliffe k390 can be obtained.

Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
May I ask: For what reasons? Cause I have to say: The two Tenaciouses I had were of better quality / fit and finish than most of my Seki knives (which are perfectly fine already too, don't get me wrong) Two is of course not a representative sample though. Of course you may ask. I always carry a key...

Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
My first Spydercos were a Tenacious and a Grasshopper. They are good knives. But since I bought Spydies from Seki and Colorado, I never went back to the Chinese ones.

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
I would say "sorry" for my last posts in this thread. I was in a bad mood + some beer. Of course, everyone should have his personal opinion wether a SAK is usefull or not. It was not my intention to provokate. Sorry, again.

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
You're clearly outnumbered here with your thoughts on the SAK. At this point...silence is golden bud A SAK may be better than nothing. But a really good thing is better than a thing that can multiple things, but all bad. Even many experienced SAK fans say, that in the end the best SAK is that Alox ...

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
I don't understand why so many people love the so called multi-tools like victorinox. Who needs such nonsense like can-opener, mini wood-saw, trashy mini-scissors, and so on..? All you need today is a good little knife like a manbug or even a small opinel. We don't live in 1920 anymore. Everybody's...

Re: Knife trends you just don't understand?
Don't know where you live and work. But where I live, it's not the duty of an employee, to bring their own (crappy) tools for work. A companys chief has to equip his workers with good tools. Can't understand the other arguments, too... the squeezer has zero grip and the the toothpick is just crap. T...

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
When I first started playing with Spydercos, I wasn't interested in the back lock. I had used them from other manufacturers, and none were any good. Eventually I tried a Spyderco back lock, and my opinion changed. They were truly one-handed operation without unnatural contortions, and they did what...

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
I know it's a rhetorical question, and I agree with your post! The definition of professional is someone who makes his profession at something. BBB, Larrin, and Sal are examples of knife/steel professionals. Salespeople are not knife/steel professionals, they are sales professionals. If the discipl...

This guy doesn't interest me honestly. More interesting could be your arguementation, why that guy is...

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
As far, as I remember I did never say that. I'm pretty sure that never in history someone had to completing a knife-needing-task and failed because he had "only" BD1N, S30V, or similar insead of k390. Nobody NEEDS it, but some WANT. This was my trigger: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&...
