Re: Shipping of internal parts
Lost a manix stopper block(not sure about name). Part that holds the spring and ball cage in place. Cant use the knife now. Would pay for sure Lock bar/lock backspacer. Ouch, yeah that’s the hardest part to get for a G10 Manix. Spyderco really needs to evaluate all the responses online to this poli...

Re: I have to be honest, flipper detents need to be stronger.
Did you simply drill the detent hole out slightly deeper? Or increase the spring strength of the liner? spring strength may play a role, but that adds to the friction when opening and closing. What we've noticed on the taichung models is that the detent hole in the blade is smaller than the detent ...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
One of my Shamans (I have a few…) has a faulty pivot pin and maybe lock side liner. I’ve isolated the issue by swapping parts with other Shamans I own. It causes play play that my other Shamans don’t have even with the pivots tightened down to where the blade doesn’t move very easily. I emailed CS o...

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Hey everyone, I’m new here, wondering if you could tell me if this micarta shaman in z-wear looks legit to you or not. Thank you. Everything looks/seems 100% legit except the v-shape cutout that’s visible on the bug logo when I zoom way, way in. Is that the telltale sign of a genuine knockoff, or w...

*EDITED-No Buying, Selling, & Trading - TazKristi* ETA: Ah, sorry about that! Didn’t know I couldn’t do that here. Apparently neither is it allowed on Spyderco.com during a seconds sale. Awww snap… had to make a joke hopefully for some laughs. Working my way through the stages of grief. ;) Lol!...

...If I had a solution, I would be building it right now and I'd make a billion. There is no known solution to these crises other than routing requests made to a server to /dev/null :winking-tongue ... Are there other solutions besides technical, server-based solutions? For example, does a medium-s...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
Seen a few great 2-knife boxes on YouTube. Last one was a Manix XL 4V and a S90V Yojimbo. Now that’s a gift from Spyderco. Yeah that was a joke if you keep watching lol. None of the two knife boxes have been as good as the three knife boxes from what I’ve seen and my experience, but still cool imo

https://i.imgur.com/oy82cyQ.jpg That Manix XL 4V is awesome, one of the ones I wish I had gotten. Only problem is you can’t buy them all. Definitely know the feeling haha. I love Manixs. I was looking for the jade M4 xl but then this one came up. Managed to find the jade scale separately though so ...

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
I mean I don't see a problem with people respectfully telling their story. I think it's important for Spyderco to realize that while it was a cool event, not everyone had a good time. Some people wasted hours of their day for nothing. In the army we have an after action review. We discuss good thin...

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
But something changed this time; perhaps a larger audience, greater demand, idk. Well they changed their advertisement strategy for the past year. Many people said it was way better now, informations go on social media and everything, it wasn't like the past years. I saw the advertisement for the s...

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
Being frustrated is understandable but remember to have some respect. I appreciate that Spyderco does this. I was ready to give up too but kept trying and it paid off...twice I was able to log back in a few minutes ago and there's still a lot of nice knives available I still appreciated it in 2019 ...

Re: Machining marks on BNIB 15v Shaman?
I’m leaving a list of my knives and other stuff of value with the exact model names and what they’re worth at the time, etc. If I’m blessed to get to very old age, I’ll sell them before I go probably. Rather make sure people that appreciate them get them rather than just having them auctioned for p...

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
So much for the request for people not to piss and moan in this thread....yikes I just tried one last time before making this comment. I can understand the frustration. I woke up early for this sale. I tried for two hours then gave up. Then tried one last time three hours into the sale. At no point...

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
I noticed 15V models for sale- meaning Mystery Boxes containing items not offered elsewhere may contain….. which models? They wouldn’t release the Manix 2 Salt this way, would they? No, it will only contain seconds of things they’ve already produced. Could still have some 15v in it. Will probably h...

To the original poster, Back in the early 90's when I was away at college, I was reading a lot of knife and firearm books, who knows maybe even Soldier of Fortune if it was still printed at that time. Decided to buy a Randal Made Knife, so I ordered a beautiful Model 14. Didn't know what to expect....

Re: Origin of the STEEL in USA Made Spyderco's. Hope Sal reads.
Some others are actually made overseas like 20cv vs m390 vs 204p. Still the same steel though. Although similar, CPM-20CV is made by Crucible in the U.S., CTS-204P is made by Carpenter in the U.S. and M390 is made by Bohler-Uddeholm in Sweden. https://i.imgur.com/XMJeWHs.jpg I should have been more...
