Re: MagnaMax wish list
I have the Stretch in K390, I think a Stretch or a Stretch XL in MagnaMax would be great.

Phosphor Bronze Washer for Endura 4
I bought a new Endura 4 from Spyderco with a combo edge for my nephew as a Christmas gift in 2023. He is a farrier (horse Shoer) and his knives takes a beating. He brought it to me to sharpen. I took the knife apart to clean and saw the washer on the show side had a rolled edge from something ...

Re: Para 3 LW CPM-15V Clip Reversal?
I tried both suggestions of putting the barrel nut in a bind and also heating the torx screw with my soldering iron tip. No bueno.
I sent the knife in for warranty service to reverse the clip. Too bad they could have had barrel nut with a torx head or in a "D" shape like the Endura.
It's sorta ...

Jumpin Spyder, 8th Note
Thank you both.
I'll try to jam the barrel first and if that doesn't work out I'll try my soldering iron

Para 3 LW CPM-15V Clip Reversal?
I just purchased a new Para 3 LW in 15V. I'm left-handed and tried to remove the screw holding down the wire clip. The screw won't loosen it just spins and the other side is just a smooth head. Other than sending it in to Spyderco is there something I can try to loosen the screw? I have a heat gun ...

Thank you Sal. And thanks to Mike Janich and Kelly Towers for the Op=Focus Program.
I quess I need to read the tutorial on posting photos. I'll work on that.
My son's service made me proud of him. I was just a Utiltiesman in the SeaBees at the end of Vietnam.

Re: Which Spyderco for a Reliable and Versatile EDC?
You've got lots of responses to your questions. If i was starting over for a first Spyderco knife I would get a Stretch 2 in K390. It's thinner than the PM2, lighter weight and carries better in your pocket. If you want a simpler steel VG10 is good. I'd prefer BD1N for better corrosion and edge ...

My Spyderco Journey and Wish
I believe this is my first new topic message on this forum.
My Spyderco journey began in 1980 at the Arizona State Fair. In the basement of the Coliseum kiosks were set up with different vendors. I was watching Sal (I'm guessing here) demonstrate the new Spyderco Triangle Sharpener. I bought the ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
My first Spyderco knife was the 4.5" utility knife. i bought it from Spyderco at the Arizona State Fair in 1990 along with a Sharpmaker sharpener. The utility knife had a soft squishy handle and it was fantastic. My wife loved it. It wore out because i didn't know how to sharpen it. But, i still ...
