A few months ago I emailed him about a sold-out clip, and he had his team custom anodize one just for me, without me having to ask. They just go above and beyond for each customer.

The Lil Native wharncliffe is an option that’s much smaller but still provides a 4 finger grip.

I'd suggest snagging a 15V Shaman on the secondary market. Their prices are reasonable compared to the PM2 and Manix in 15V. You can probably get one for the same price as a new S30V Shaman from a retailer.

I think the advantage of bushings is consistency from one knife to the next. It enables Spyderco to deliver a silky, pneumatic-like action on all the models equipped with a bushing. Does anyone know which models have the pivot bushing? I am curious to know if there is one in my Lil’ Native? BTW: there is not side-to side play on mine. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I've always assumed that if the pivot has removable screws on both sides it's the bushing pivot....

I wonder why they chose the back lock version to make into an FRN. I assume the comp lock version is more popular. A least it’s the version that always gets sprint runs/exclusives. Maybe the back lock is easier to implement in FRN? Or maybe the comp lock would still require full liners and therefore...

I just hope they eventually make a comp lock version and of this knife. Or CQI the compression lock versions with the upgrades. What is it about the compression lock versions that make you think they need to be CQI'd and upgraded? The main improvement I’d like to see is the thinner blade stock. But...

Lock tests are important to a point. Check out the issues people have had with the Volsteed Racoon (button lock version). It literally couldn’t pass a light spin wack test. Kinda feel bad for this series from BHQ. The K390 versions of these knives are only a few bucks more. But I guess it’s a win for those who are big fans who of the Seki knives.

So exciting right now, with Magnacut and 15V being released, K390 spreading to the most Seki knives. We're truly getting spoiled with all of these steels.
