I miss you JD. He was around in the early days of “forum boards” and always had reasonable, measured posts and responses. And he really had a passion - and I do appreciate that.

Dang - I stopped by last week …. Driving to Glenwood Springs. ( from Minnesota) Would have loved to be there for this …

Great visit seeing the Holy Place - very friendly people. Met an employee from Minnesota and Hawaii- what a display of knives. Its handy to be able to size up the blades in person ...

The Military Salt is very good. Great blade length, great steel, fits in the pocket easily, and great fit in hand (and I’m not a Big Guy)

I’m loving mine - it is the Para2 XL ! Hands down better than the Manix . And I like my Manixs!

Got my Military MagnaCut from Indiana Knives using their “Make an offer” option - Thanks for the heads up. Got her for under $200

I just got this in today. I (re) fell in love with the Military 2 with my Crucara Military and knew I needed another - with something different. And I got both - great steel and great G10

I’m really surprised more has not been made of these - they are fantastic! Great MagnaCut steel and the pattern ...

I really like K390 - for me easy to keep sharp and any patina that occurs makes it look more interesting. (Although I do try to keep them cleaned, dry and oiled ...

Yup -back in the day I bought an original Worker, Lil Temperance,, Calypso, DoDo, a Black Hawk, etc... And the sold them each for an amazing- outrageous price of ... around $80

Ive tried to buy some of them again - but just cant rationalize the prices ....

ah heck - Have it in Colorado Springs - just down the road, it really is in the mountains and it would get the staff out for a break. Colorado Springs also has a nice sized airport !

And have it at The Broadmoor ! (the rest of us can stay at the Best western or Motel 6...)

That’s a much improved Manix! The yellow just does not do it for me - especially for the $$$ - regardless of the steel … or perhaps because of the steel

Now it looks sweet and like a knife worth the money.

If PM2 - I agree with others - the wonder of Cruwear would not be appreciated by a non knife guy. S45v - that would be a much better PM2

Or heck - for a starter go Delica VG10, or perhaps a Sage to play with (great flipper) and see where that takes him. He can mess them up, loose them ... and it ...

for me "Do I really need a Sage 5 if I already own a Para 3" - the answer is no.

Ive had both and just prefer a solid G10 para 3. compact and tough - in Maxamet of course!

looks nice! creating your dream knife is quite an accomplishment and that does look sweet Any Military is great - my Cruwear Military is my current "why would i need anything else" knife !
