Manix don’t use bearings
That's what I thought & why I cut it apart: I was fairly sure I could feel the bearings on the flip.

Thanks guys!

Try this link: https://imgur.com/a/kpVqgqq.

I am unclear if it will work, and if so, for how long.

Re: A "Manix" - is it legit?

I think https://imgur.com/ allows posting without an account.

As far as the knife itself, without pics it's really hard to say. Usually having non-existent versions is a big red flag, but this one seems like a non-existent fake version as well :D.

I am really getting that vibe as well.

Now I ...

Re: A "Manix" - is it legit?

The blade logo is slightly less clear than my similarly finished Para 3 (which I believe is legit ;), and the jimping is is shallower than on my m4 manix 2 (in mint green!). The font also appears slightly different too.

I have pics; if they can be attached to PM's, PM me and I will send them.

Re: Trying to confirm Manix 2 authenticity

Hi guys,

I recently purchased two Manix 2 factory seconds from the same seller on ebay and a third open box Manix 2 from another seller and noticed some subtle differences in one of the factory seconds. ....Font on the blade is a bit different and the logo itself is slightly smaller and has a ...

What finish does the blade have?
I guess I would call it satin (it certainly isn't DLC, and it doesn't look polished).

As far as i know a grey Manix 2 LW should have Maxamet as steel not S30V.
And that's why I ask.

A "Manix" - is it legit?

Greed - or perhaps my acquisitive nature - got the best of me and I bought it.

"It" appears to be an Manix -- here are the most basic facts --

Steel: claimed: s30v
Construction: pinned instead of screwed (perhaps I was the one who was screwed ;)
Hhandle: grey FRN (I don't how FRCP feels, so I ...

BD1N is probably the lowest we would go for blade material.

Re: Cruwear Lightweight Temperence

If there is renewed interest in the design, we're already tooled, so any combination of steel/handle color can be done with little engineering.

Given the fantastic design and relatively low price in an era of accelerated inflation, I expect the plain edged knives to sell out quickly....Please ...

Re: Recent knives can no longer be repaired?

Good luck with either way you choose to fix your knife. IMO I would take the old knife back and get 45% off a new one. Down the road keep looking on eBay for a “broken” Para 3 for short money to get a pivot screw to bring your old one back into operation. Or maybe even find a third party pivot you ...

Re: Self defense knife under 3.5”?

I also just bought this afternoon an Enuff 2, 3.95 inch plain edge fixed blade in K390. Looks great. Great steel and the handle looks grippy. I'll get another one if it is as good as or better than my Bradford Guardian 4 in M390 in the hand.

I haven't been able to bring myself to buy an Enuff ...

If you are looking for a utility knife, check Menards, this is the Spyderco Forums, where we collect high end steels.
And my budget knows it -- and I haven't even gotten into high end steels yet! :winking-tongue

Re: Newbie, 1st Spyderco selection help

I agree with the forgoing posters who have noted ergos are very subjective.

I would add that pocket carry is also important (at least for me). I have noticed that a knife's thickness and clip placement greatly effect how a knife carries, while the blade length has a smaller impact than I expected ...
