Re: Manix Lightweight

Hello fellow forum members. I am new to the Forum and currently own 2 Spydercos and wanting to get more. I currently have a Manix 2 in S30V and am considering getting a Manix lightweight to use on camping activities, so wittling, coardage cutting, food prep and other such tasks appropiate for a fol...

Re: Favorite sci-fi movies?

I restarted my Hulu subscription and just watched by far the second best Predator movie called Prey (2022). A new take, circa early 18th century North America, with tremendous suspense and action. Nothing tops the original Predator (1987) though which I’ve seen a handful of times. https://youtu.be/...

Re: Can't remove screws from dlt pm2

Hi everyone I am new to the forum and was hoping to get some feedback. I recently bought a purple cruwear pm2 with black blade from dlt. I have been using the knife and want to clean it but there are two screws, one body screw and one pivot screw that will not loosen. I have very good drivers and h...

Re: Any dog lovers?

This photo was a couple hours after we brought the new kitty home on Saturday, he's in the background playing with a hair tie..."Kitty" in the foreground watching his every move haha. Didn't take his eyes off him all day long and hissed like we've never heard before. As of this morning th...

We are still numb and did not sleep well. Thank you again for your well wishes and prayers.
We took Coco's body to a funeral home that also cremates pets. They return the remains in a wooden urn and a certificate with his paw prints.Image

Re: It's wild how many different versions of the compression lock exist

Hey Vivi, Talking' Story: FYI, Spyderco was scheduled to make a knife for Bob Taylor's REKAT company designed by Bram Frank, called the "Escalator". We were going to use Bob's "Rolling Lock' which he invented, A very nice lock invention. After we began engineering the model, Bob Tayl...

Re: It's wild how many different versions of the compression lock exist

Would you consider the compression lock of the Para3 to be unique? I have read/heard about the difficulties of the lateral force of the lock and FRN scales. While the operation of the lock feels no different than a compression lock in a G10 knife, there are some important engineering differences. N...

No warranty, of course, but my two have been excellent to the point I'm not sure where the flaw is . JRinFL, I took mine to the Blade Show in Atlanta where I met Eric. I gave it to Eric and he looked it over. the only thing wrong with it is the safety takes a huge amount of effort to engage and rel...

Perhaps a folding hobo knife in which the spoon has a sharpened edge?
I had to look up what a hobo spoon was. Those are neat! Looks useful for camping and road trips.
Me too, only to find out that we were using these things when we were camping in the everglade back in the early 70's.

Re: Has Spyderco ever made a Spoon?

This is a half serious question, but... How about a spoon that is just sharp (or serrated) enough to separate the flesh from Mango skin, but also dull enough that you could scoop it out and eat it without giving yourself Joker face. Is it even possible? Is the idea too stupid to even try??? Things ...
