Re: What is your favorite Spyderco knife that you own?
Easy Answer. Gayle Bradley folder (original). Watch this video.

Used to be my favorite. But I feel that the K390 Lil' Temperance 3 LW does the same jobs better (besides looking classy).
Regardless, the Gayle Bradley Folder has phenomenal geometry ...

Re: What’s your handiest Spyderco?
Or this one. Non-locking means that closing is faster/more frictionless, which makes it handier for quick cuts.

LC200N Service Temperature
I've been using my LC200N Catcherman on food for some time now. It works great for that, given its length and thin blade. I don't worry about getting juices in the pivot, as I can rinse the pivot area without concern for corrosion.

Re: Salty Dodo
Good luck disengaging the lock with moist fingers in wet environments. Dodo 2, maybe.. Salty with a cage?
Not a problem, as the ball gets pinched between my middle finger and thumb, like so:

I’d be interested to hear:
- what are your thoughts on small knives generally?
- which small knife you rate most highly from Spyderco’s current lineup?
- what do you use it for?
- Most of the time (when not cutting wood or food), small knives work better. The material I'm cutting has less ...

Salty Dodo
I've been carrying an M4 SE Dodo for 6 months now, and it has kicked everything else out of my pockets (excepting my keychain Manbug). It is such an incredibly useful tool that I'm hardly even interested in other models now. S90V Urban comes with me when fishing or when I want a non-locker, K390 LT3 ...

Yeah, tightening the stop pin screws will put more squeeze on the pivot. Both the stop pin screws and pivot screw need to be tuned with this model.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
I'm sure it wouldn't work for everyone, but man, what if they could do the peel-ply texture on the contours of those scales. I think I'd like that myself. Might solve a lot of slip issues some people have with the comp-pinch and the compromised released grip situation...
Peel-ply is a layer of ...

Re: Burnt factory Edges
People do sometimes report better edges after a few sharpenings.
Could it be due to the method of sharpening, and have nothing to do with the edge being overheated/burnt?
I do wonder if the steel right on the surface of the heat treated blade has different properties than the steel farther in ...

I do love the Leatherman can openers.
I actually just bought a Chicago, and so far I'm loving it. Nice and stout, with a substantial handle. I did put a Lil' Native clip on it, though.

Another flavor idea, to see if anyone would be interested:
OG green with laminated Hap40 run as hard as Rex45 (its Crucible equivalent). High edge stability, a steel that has already been used in Japan, and corrosion resistant on the bulk of the blade. A quick search shows that there has been ...

What about OG green and AEB-L with the new BBB heat treatment? I'd be interested to see how a fine-grained high edge stability steel would perform with the LT3's design/ergonomics.
These two videos from Cliff Stamp (12C27 is pretty close to AEB-L) have gotten me curious.

Re: The Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight: A comprehensive review
Hi TBdad,
I wouldn't use the same handle pattern as the original. It is, in my opinion, now obsolete. I don't if the market is interested in the new FRN "3" with just a color green change?

Yes, thank you @zuludelta. I think that this thread is what put the Lil' Temperance on my radar in the first place.
