Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

The 20cv exclusive with g-10 scales was quite a bit cheaper than the standard carbon fiber version. That solid carbon fiber must cost a bundle. An s90 blade and micarta would probably be cheaper.

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

After my post, of COURSE I just had to dig out and admire my Kapara's. Sooo, now the 20cv is in my pocket and a set of burlap micarta scales are on the way. :winking-tongue I feel that it should have a rougher surface to grab onto. Now for a cru-carta Kapara! ')

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?

I love my Kapara's. One of Spyderco's best knives. I have the S30v and the 20cv exclusive. I have no issue with the lock. I showed it to one of my long time buddies, in fact the guy that got me started on the Spyderco freight train :beaming-face, and he had never seen one! He was mind boggled at the...

I second the Dragonfly. It's an amazing little workhorse.

Re: Copy Cat compression lock.

I was concerned, because I thought that Spyderco still had the patent. I suppose that we will now see many more variations of Sal's lock out and about. It really is an excellent design.

Copy Cat compression lock.

There is a copy of the compression lock new on the market. From China. I don't know if it is patented, but figure y'all should know. It's basically a copy of the Smock.

Re: Question about lanyard holes.........

I use lanyards on all my knives because I have nerve damage in my right hand, and a lanyard really helps me get the knife out. Once out, it helps me hang on to it. One very painful lesson showed me that I really, really needed to start using lanyards. I dropped my open Para 2 Maxamet straight down i...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

I live in Nevada so no ocean fishin' for me, but this Catcherman is a great 'all around' knife'. Light and handy, it's perfect for food prep, box cutting and anything else I deem fit to slice. I love LC200n, and it's held a decent edge for me and is super easy to keep sharp.

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

This knife floored me! It's HUGE! I love the steel and the build quality. It's a great deal for only 112.00!
Question about LC200n, what sort of edge does it like the best? Coarse or polished?

Re: Knife Lanyards

I have nerve damage in my right hand and a lanyard helps me get the knife out of my pocket and hold onto it. I also have found that I very much enjoy weaving them so for me its a win win. Keeps my pinkies busy. :winking-tongue

Re: serrated Cruwear on the Ayoob, how'd that work out?

I was amazed that my new untouched factory 2nd Ayoob posted a 100 on my BESS scale. That is sharper than a utility razor blade. It also has shallow teeth, and zips through cardboard and paper as easy as any plain edged knife I own. I'd say Cruwear works very well in SpyderEdge.

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores

Howdy folks. My second gift box contained a fat carbon PM2 with M4 blade and a Phil Wilson fixed blade. The fixed blade is in the kitchen being used already by my darling wife. I also bought a PM2 camo, a UKPK in s110v and a Native slipit. All in all I am very satisfied and am thankful for this onli...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores

Hi, I just opened up my large mystery box and it contained a StNick's Native Chief in 4v, a Shaman in 15v, and a Polestar in BD1n. I am delighted! Thanks Spyderco!

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!

Howdy folks! Long time lurker, first time poster. I enjoy the pleasant conversation on this site, and I prefer to listen/read and learn as I have little to offer in the way of knowledge. I just want to say thanks to Spyderco for having this online sale. I know it has to have been a LOT of hard work ...
