PE CruWear Temperance sprint. First fixed-blade Spyderco and first carbon steel Spyderco. I’m really looking forward to it.

I got my Leafjumper (PE, VG10) last December, and it has been my main pocket knife since then. It whittled wood, carved feather sticks, collected and cleaned piles of mushrooms, and did all sorts of stuff around the house, from cutting up boxes for recycling to cleaning up floor trim and carving ...

VG10 Endura in brown FRN. I've been eyeing the Endura for a while and I like the warm and cheerful look of the brown FRN, compared to the standard black. It's about 30% off at Blades Canada this week, so I grabbed it.

I've been getting away from bidirectional textured fixed blades. Not as comfortable in use unless I'm wearing gloves, which most the time I'm not. I'd rather have micarta, G10, kray-ex, etc. One reason I've switched from my Aqua Salts to SRKC's for a small woods ...

I completely agree. Enuff 2 is also light and its blade profile, grind, and the overall handle profile all look eminently practical. But the thin handles remind me of a folder and are giving me pause. I like thick, rounded, hand-filling handles in my fixed blades, so I can use them for hours on end ...

If I get an Enuff 2 and feel the same: Could be that I´d put in some extra liners (and use longer scale screws of course) to make the handle as least as thick as the one on the original Enuff.

I’ve found myself gravitating towards lighter fixed-blade knives for outdoor use - weight starts to matter on long, self-propelled trips where you still want to use fire and natural materials. The Temperance 1 looks like it would work very well, and the fully enclosed handle would be great in below ...
