Hoppes # 9 may not be digestible but it sure smells good.
😂 well said buddy!

For work where I have to use a declared food safe option I use Frog Lube and it’s ok. Interesting to see how it outperforms Tuf-Glide on that chart as I’d always assumed Tuf was better but stinkier.

JoviAl,

Whew, so glad to hear he is okay. Hoping for a quick and less painful heal up.

Cheers buddy 👍🏻 it’ll be a few months for the ligaments and tendons to bond back together before he can re-learn to walk, but it’s the best outcome we could have hoped for.

If that’s the one, I’m buying two — just out of curiosity.

Hey Al,

I know we had a discussion on this forum about a 6" blade Mule Team. I'm guessing that one of the "locals" will know the thread? As I remember the thread, we discussed the possibility of a 6" blade Mule team being used in some "ag" function. As I remember, you offered to test it for ...

I can’t wait to see what comes out of this! So excited to finally return to work next week and finish off the SE test machete I’m working on before I begin running it through its paces. I’ve had to put everything on the back burner for a while after my 6 year old son had a terrible accident last ...

Re: H1Spyderco Machete?

I’m on holiday this week and was sick as a dog last week with influenza then tonsillitis, but am really looking forward to finally testing the SE and PE machetes back to back next week once I’m back at work. I have a 20 tonne order of woodchip, topsoil, chicken manure and blood and bone being ...

Re: China

I try to buy ethically made products irrespective of where they are manufactured. China is a big and diverse place with as broad a spectrum of manufacturing ethics as the rest of the world, so for me I just do a bit of background digging on the specific place or factory that made the item and decide ...

I think you and I both know this was a thinly veiled excuse to justify buying him some nice knives

I think it’s a misconception that smaller people need shorter blades. I would just start the kid on your regular chef knife.

Kid’s first chef’s knife recommendations

My youngest son loves cooking and making dishes in the kitchen. As his 8th birthday is in a few weeks my wife and I have decided to put him a chef’s kit together - a 4-5 inch petty knife, a smaller paring knife, spatula, spoon, sharpening kit, etc.

We’re looking for recommendations for the knives ...
