I bought one just to have a "Made in Italy" Spyderco. It sits in my desk drawer and is occasionally used as a letter opener.

Still waiting for one with a left-handed compression lock.

Check out a left-handed Military -- the slick lefty liner lock is one the best sounding knives when reverse flicked. Music to my ears.

Just read the May edition of Spyderco Byte and enjoyed the Military 2 article. However, it didn't say if a left-handed model would be forthcoming. Anybody (that means you Sal) know?

I have Spydies from US, Taiwan, Japan and Italy but none from China. As a lefty, I ruled out the majority of Chinese made knives as they are right-handed liner locks. So I naturally placed an order today for an Uptern with PE -- couldn't resist at $42.00 with the 10% discount. Will also be my first ...

I picked this up a while ago at a gun show. It's NOS and has never been used (I just switched the pocket clip over to the left side). Is there any way to know when it was manufactured?

I have a left-handed Military and would love to get a left-handed Military 2 as well. However, I won't be holding my breath. I suspect lefty models are financial losers for Spyderco.

No new dedicated lefties -- very disappointing.

To reiterate, a Military without a liner lock is not a legitimate Military in my eyes -- it's a PM2XL. It's an "emperor has no clothes" scenario. However, Spyderco clearly has the right to name their knives with whatever moniker they choose.

More left-handed compression lock models. My first choice would be a Shaman.

As nylon is a copolymer, anyone know the difference between FRN and FRCP? Just being curious.
