Re: 1st Mule: M398 hunting model
Great set up… Having the same handle scales. It fits in the Boltron sheath pretty snug. It would be easy to pin and epoxy the scales. Just drill out the holes to the widest point and use a same size pin. Some epoxy a pin and a few clamps it would take a few minutes to do. https://files.catbox.moe/h...

Re: 1st Mule: M398 hunting model
Hi,
Thank you to all for the suggestion, W will move to a glued/epoxy approach.
I am in touch with a friend of mine who is more skilled about this kind of works.
Suggestions about maintenance and resharpening?
(Ps. Do you know the HRC grad of this Mule?)

1st Mule: M398 hunting model
Dear all, This is my first Mule project. I used an M398 (MT38) blade paired with Cuscadi G10 glow in the dark scales and a Francesco Nova custom leather sheath. Choose this setup as a to go companion hunting knife: 1) M398 steel because it is a stainless steel with an expected great edge retention; ...

Re: I have a jacket...
With that many pockets I am amazed you can ever find anything! How about a Barbour waxed jacket? Tough and waterproof, with zip-in insulation. (The tweed flat cap and breeches are entirely optional…) They very beautiful and classical jacket very nice for city, if you live a cold place take in mind ...

Re: Sheath locking system
The actual boltron sheath would be perfect for what you want… several aftermarket handles also fit Standy, remind me please, who sells the GITD scales? https://cuscadi.de/spyderco-mule-palm/ Just have to ask for the Glow scales removable. They will be able to make them as a custom as they did for m...

Re: Sheath locking system
Thank you for the reply. I have attached a picture of the inside molle panel. My plan is to have a to have the Mule inside the pack, and to use only during specific moment. I don't need to have it ready to use, hence my plan is a leather sheath attached to the panel. G-Clip looks too big related to ...

Sheath locking system
Hi Guys,
I would like to make a sheath kydex or leather for my upcoming Mule.
I would like to attach it in the inside Molle panel of a Mystery Ranch Asap.
What do you suggest?
I am curious about Ulticlip or Tech Lok Bladetech.

Re: Sprig Re-run
Re-bump for this thread. I fell in love with Phil's design and concepts behind sometimes ago. Especially the combo between feeling like a glove (Read many times in different places) and materials such S90V and G10(Great in the field). Here in Italy, they are nearly unknown both Phil's work and Ppyde...

Re: Has Anyone Used a Spyderco Folder for Field Dressing?
I have never used a Spyderco folder for field dressing, but I plan to have as backup knife for next hunting days the Shaman in S90V and Native Chief Cutlery Shop Exclusive. Then I will try them! But if I have to use a folder as primary field dressing knife, I will go to the C211/Spydie Chef, titaniu...

Re: Kroil for knife preserving
Thank you for replies! I will try the Renaissance Wax for long term storage, which is the best way to apply it? Can I use it after field use (blood and rain)? Or is there something better? I think the can has instructions on it, but I would apply the wax with a soft towel. If these are not collecta...

Kroil for knife preserving
Hi guys,
I see available here in Italy the Kroil, here it is quite uncommon to find.
The standard product is the WD-40.
I would like to buy to try it as knife preserver against rust and for long term storage.
What do you think about?
