Re: You got your Ceramic Mule. How you gonna sharpen it?

go slow, be patient, and remember that the bur will be very, very delicate--one pass too many could wreck it, so check the edge often, alternate sides frequently, and hold the angle precisely. Slow and steady wins the sharpening race. Please clarify? Ceramic creates a burr? Don't want to wreck the ...

Re: MT40P - HIC Mule Team MORE TO COME!

It's too bad more people aren't aware that more are coming. Saw one on eBay that's already got a $305 bid.

I always think, "I should just buy two and sell one for twice the price to get it free."

Re: You got your Ceramic Mule. How you gonna sharpen it?

I got two so I can rub em together Seriously though, I have diamond plates from 140 up to 9 microns, so I figure that ought to so it. If not, I'll get some diamond lapping film and apply it to the back of the plates, or on some leather backing if I find it needs something spongy. I think this will b...

Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

No limit of 2 on this one? Sal said they made 2000 to cover the tooling costs, so they should have about 1800 to sell. At $150 a pop, hopefully the flippers will go broke trying to resell them. I got my two without drama even though I was busy doing something else at drop time. By that math they've...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?

i find it humorous that you dislike people "disparaging" users that like "modern" locks, but at the same time seem to be judging those that like the delica as only liking it for "simplicity and adequacy" as if those are things that don't qualify for a good design, and ...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?

Yeah, I just can't really jump aboard on this one. Sure, by most accounts, the Delica is a perfectly functional design. At the time it was designed, it was pretty much state of the art. But time goes on, and new innovations are made, and arguing against advancements that have come through innovation...

I'm in the same boat, but as long as it's not a liner lock I can live with it.
I do like the blade shape at least. Very Manix-like.

Thank you for sharing your experience, JRinFL. It would be most helpful, whenever you're able, to share a link directly to the products on eBay. With links, we can take action. Without them, unfortunately, our options are limited. As always, we appreciate your support! Kristi I'm going to need help...

I enjoy finding cheap/value bourbon, and so far it's been hard to beat Evan Williams Bonded and pretty much any Wild Turkey. Like the search for the perfect EDC folding knife, I too am always in search for the best budget whiskey. Buffalo Trace was always my go to until it became so popular you can...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

I got bored and decided to mirror polish this Cold Steel "Black Bear" Bowie Machete. No real reason than I thought it would be fun to mirror finish a bevel this large. The back bevel was too recurved to put on stones without a ton of reprofiling, but I kind of like it being a coarse on tha...

I don't care about stainless *Edited

Okay, so... Magnacut. It's awesome right? Wear resistance, toughness, AND corrosion resistance. No one has ever been able to strike all three categories. Awesome. On the other hand... What if you don't care about corrosion resistance? There have been a bunch of steels that deliver a great balance be...
