Re: Sal- PM2 Bowie

OK Sal! I thought I would see the bowie PM2 in reveal 15, I think you just forgot to add a page!

Any chance you can provide an update on this one? I know this is Eric's project, so if you can squeeze any info out of him, I think a few of us would love to hear it!

Re: Spydies Good For Game Processing

Stretch 2 non-straight spine has worked well for me for deer, turkey, and squirrels. VG-10 is more than enough to dress and skin a deer, I would use a more dedicated knife to break it down. The GB2 is a similar blade shape, which I have as well but have not used… because M4, and I adore it.

Re: Spyderco 2023 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

KnifeWorks has the Ambitious Lightweight S35VN SpyderEdge Blue FRN (C148SBL) incorrectly street-priced at a low $62.56 instead of $95.20.

Sal- PM2 Bowie

Sal, any update on the PM2 Bowie? I am looking everyday for a hint or update. Will it be launched this year? Any steels besides sv30/45 that will be utilized for this launch? Will this be a sprint run only to judge consumer demand?

Re: New Knife Steel Nerds video covering K390

Callout to Shawn, BBB. Have you done any extensive work with K390 in the heat treatment process to try to improve the properties? In my opinion the K390 from seki is a great blend of toughness and edge retention- the stropping and sharpening ability is great too. Probably not the steel for someone ...

I've wondered that myself, and I'm not a deep thinker on any if this stuff either, but K390 would make a killing in the Golden lineup!! I'd be very interested in how the G10 would look as well.
Seki blue g-10 obviously!😉

Re: We don't actually need to Magnacut *all* the knives

I reckon the market will decide how many knives we need to 'Magnacut'.

As always. It's challenging to produce products that do not sell.

When we introduced K390 to the production market, reaction was very good so more models were created in that steel.

Mules are always good Sal. Variety is the spice of life. Something new, something very different, I would pick one up.

It must be fun being near the SFO. I'd probably be there every week just to hang out if I worked close by.

My first for 2023 was an oldie but goody, the 440V Chinookchinook_01.jpg

WolfSpyder is about Delica sized. This is an older pic, and scandi bevel has been slightly convexed, but the WolfSpyder is a great option for a smaller feather sticker.

spyderco fixed blades make me want to learn how to make kydex sheaths.
Check out the mule forum, pretty good tutorial on making a kydex sheath.

Might take a little practice, he makes it look easy.

Great video, thanks for sharing. The CQI updates look great. I think it’s great that a company is continually evaluating their products and updating them if necessary, that’s a big win.

Pretty good deals at national. The enuff 2 is a steal if anyone was looking for one. Might pull the trigger on the Phoenix.

The Phoenix is an awesome knife. The only Spydie I bought because of how it looks, but Viele & Sal also gave us a great worker EDC knife with this one.
