I’d guess it’s all supply and demand. I don’t think it was ever to create ultra rares, but companies need to be smart. Spyderco has learned from what we want. I know, I know, this isn’t the purpose and it annoys the forum - but this is my best kitchen knife. I use it for everything. Blade is still sharp & no rust.

Not sure how I stumbled upon the mule project but seems awesome. Grabbed my first two last week and they arrived Friday (SF Bay Area). Both arrived very sharp and I'm excited about this one; just need to provide care since it isn't stainless. Cuts and slices great - still holding a nice sharp edge. ...
