Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?

Spyderco has been trying to break into the fixed blade market for years without much luck. It seems the knife buying market sees Spyderco as a folding knife company, not a fixed blade company. Maybe because the fixed blade market seems to be very conservative design wise. At least to me. Couldn’t h...

Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions

For a gent's folder, the maple Chap is ideal. Congrats! Chap crossed my mind so many times, I have possibility to get Raffir Noble for 90 USD equivalent. Maple one looks stunning though and it is on my list of potential wedding accessory :thinking - great suggestion! Ditto on the Chap with Raffir N...

Re: Your thoughts on the MT leather sheath?

Well I carried my K294 mule in Moab and Arches National Park for the first week of April and didn’t notice the sheath damage till a couple of days ago. Can’t carry a gun in National parks so I carried my mule in its place on my gun belt. Well apparently the rock scrambling and sitting down (sheath ...

Re: Throwback Thursday Carry

Man I love this idea, but I'll have to live vicariously through you old timers. I think the oldest Spydercos I have at this point only date back to 2019! Buy a Rockjumper. You can still find them on sale at some sites and they have been discontinued. Doesn’t that qualify? If not I’m in the same boa...

Hanan. I keep thinking this would've been better as a liner lock.

Would love that in a fixed blade.

Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?

Was looking at fixed blades at various online knife companies. It just seems like something is missing. Especially in areas that Spyderco makes excellent folder knives steel wise. To me it is a mystery that Spyderco doesn’t have a current fix blade knife in CRUWEAR, 3V, magnacut, AEB-L, M4, 10V and ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

What will be my first piece of magnacut should arrive in a day or two. In the form of the all-black PM2. Excitement level is high! Awesome choice. Let us know how you like it. Was debating between the one you got, PM3 crucarta or the mules. Went with the mules. Because I waited too long on the T15 ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Ordered my second pair of the MT28P2 and MT36P mules. Going to reshape the SPY27 when it arrives just like I did the first one I bought. And going to put scales made by me on the K294 mule. Although I still need to put scales on the first K294 mule.

Hi Mike,

We've not yet made a serrated Mule in SPY27, but have one planned.

We have many SPY27 models in the field with more being added often.

How has this not been noted by more members here? Hopefully sooner than later. But I can also await it eagerly for as long as needed.

I just discovered the BEST feature of the new Forum Update. We no longer need to futz around resizing images before we upload them!!! We can just upload the images as they are, no muss, no fuss. This is going to be GREAT for mobile phone users who might not have image editing tools at their fingert...

Re: Mule care for dummies

For what it's worth, I'm on the same bi-monthly tear down and rust spot removal. I also do a coat of oil underneath the scales. Even the AEB-L gets spots for me, although I stop at wiping dry before sheathing and an oil wipe each week of regular use. For the tool steels, I've been considering cerak...
