Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
My Native removed the old cob and installed a new new one on the squirrel feeder. Yesterday, it stripped some bark and cut cordage used during transplanting the mulberry tree pictured in the bottom right. Also opened a bottle last night 👍. https://i.imgur.com/uDeUksj.jpg Nice. Looks like your multi...

That’s cool! Did you make the clip? Looks like it’s made from another Spyderco blade?

Re: Get me excited about M398
Anyone have a link to a good comprehensive carbide volume chart? Would love that info and thanks @VeraX_Knives for helping me think outside of just edge retention and toughness.

Re: Get me excited about M398
Ok this is a simple question that I’m hoping you can all clarify for me. I don’t have all the fancy equipment and knowledge you all have. I also have one of the worst cases of psoriatic arthritis that my doctors have ever seen so I can’t do the repetitive cut testing. But I do try. The thing that h...

Re: Get me excited about M398
M398 doubled my Aeb-l test cut numbers. Makes perfect sense to me seeing those results with feathersticks. I define toughness as the steels ability to absorb impact, and it's effect on edge retention. I lock my wrist when feathersticking, so I will assume your not twisting or hitting rocks. Lock my...

Re: 52100 Native Chief?
I would far and away rather have 14C28N than 52100. Same toughness, better edge retention, and it is stainless. Umm 🤔 both please 🙏 Been want a quality heat treated 14C28N Spyderco knife for a long time. I also had no clue Spyderco made a knife with 52100 steel. I’ve kind of fallen in love with kni...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
Would love a new Eric and Sal collaboration. Something maybe that signified the changing of the guard? Or how about an Eric, Sal and Kolby collaboration (Eric’s kid, met him when I visited Spyderco, he’s great at customer sales/service already)? At least I think it was Eric’s kid. Hope I got the kid...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Does anyone have a good source for an after market Sharp Maker base with different angles? I have 2 Sharpmakers and all of the stones offered by Spyderco already. Hopefully a tighter fit so the stones don’t move around in the base. For example 15 and 17 would be useful for me as I don’t use the 20....

It’s Monday yay ! This one was inspired by all you that post a Manix every Monday. Wouldn’t have bought one if it wasn’t for you all and I’m glad I got it. It truly is a great knife design.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Does my belt count for in my pocket? If not, my bad! So the M398 mule has become my go to feather sticking knife. It stays sharp and doesn’t chip. Never would’ve thought that before i tried it.

Would be cool if this material could be 3d printed into a knife. Don’t know anything about the subject but that caught my attention when it said this material could be used in 3d printing.

Re: Dragonfly vs. Lil' Native
Lil native for me with the ergos. I like a knife that fills the hand. I also prefer the compression lock, fidget factor and ease of opening and closing. Bonus - get the exclusive one in CRUWEAR and you get a small heavy user knife that is very stout and easily sharpens to a razor edge. The lil nativ...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Wow love the look of the Serrata knife. Thank you for your response Stuart Ackerman Would definitely love that knife in a high carbon/high alloy steel that patinas. I like folders and they’re my favorite fidget toys/tools. For tougher jobs I like fixed blades. That and fixed blades are more aestheti...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Spyderco has been trying to break into the fixed blade market for years without much luck. Really? Their fixed blades are always outrageously priced. There are at least some entry level options now. But Spyderco tries to charge folder prices for fixed blades. I can always find competitive priced Sp...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Spyderco Junction is one of my favourite fixed blades. Pack it every holiday and work trip in my check in back. Spyderco has had some great fixed blades over the years. Problem is they always end up discontinued. Probably due to sales. https://files.catbox.moe/dqfov4.jpeg Hard to keep in competitio...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?
Spyderco has been trying to break into the fixed blade market for years without much luck. It seems the knife buying market sees Spyderco as a folding knife company, not a fixed blade company. Maybe because the fixed blade market seems to be very conservative design wise. At least to me. Couldn’t h...
