Brush that rust off and then submerge that part of the slide in CLP for a good long time, even overnight. Let it really work its way into the metal.

Man I feel I got off easy compared to most. Worst cut for me was an exacto knife when I was a teenager. Cut a good flap of my thumb that took forever to heal. This was my first spyder bite though probably not my last.

Yep try heading with iron, if that doesn't work slowly drill it out with a sharp bit. Take it slow...

Yeah my buddy has shot them with an AK. I try to limit my calibers and don't own anything in 7.62. One of the main reasons I picked up above rifle in 270 was due to the fact its my main deer rifle caliber and I have a good stock pile of it already and setup for reloading.
