Re: What Knife Social Media?

I don't follow too much on social media, having dumped nearly all of it, but my main exposure is Youtube. Some channels I watch because I find them enjoyable, even if they're a commercial of sorts (ie. Knifecenter series). Or, because they're amusing or informative (Cedric and Ada, Advanced Knife Br...

Re: Do you use your Spyderco or just collect them?

I (at my current stage of life) do not have the money to be a collector and use mine. Like Mikey above, mine mostly ride in the pocket waiting for their time of use. I find a knife to be a item that is very helpful to have around, even if it is not being used constantly. My primary joy is using them...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I was very resistant to accept one into my collection. The more I handled them the more they made sense, and I eventually caved. :grin-sweat I'm not the biggest benchmade fan, but they nailed this design for the EDC niche. I'd agree, slices like a dream and is not a pocket hog. My only other experi...

BladeHQ exclusive Bugout. The G10 handles are a big improvement over the grivory, imo.

Same for me today, but black blade and hardware. Still trying to figure out how I feel about the Bugout.

Re: Stretch XL discussion

I've been very interested in the base Stretch XL, but I could not justify moving to the Cruwear/G10 for that price. It removes much of the appeal of the Stretch XL for me - decent price and insane size to weight ratio

It is a very nice looking knife though.

Rose Anvil also piqued my interest in Jim Green boots. Hoping to try out a pair of vellies in the coming months. Seems akin to a Clark's Desert Boot with more support (due to the shank).

Not my fave but... It was ~20 bucks, so it is my go-to for practicing sharpening and taking places I don't want to swallow a spydie being taken due to forgetting it is in my pocket.

Re: How many knives do you normally carry on you?

K390 Manbug in the 5th pocket is nearly a constant at home or work, paired with a baby banter at work or larger folder outside of work. Interested in adding a smaller multitool.

Re: Do we really need a finger choil ?

I started out with a Tenacious and was shocked how much edge real estate the choil gobbled up when I got a Manix 2. That being said, I prefer maximized cutting edge in concept but find myself carrying the Manix or Endura more than my Tenacious. Likely due to weight and the psychology of them being &...

Re: Native Chief CS Exclusive

I was very, very close to buying this twice as the price is great, the Chief is up my alley, and I have not experienced XHP. The first time, we recently had a package stolen and I had visions of it being dropped on the door step and being snagged by someone else. The second time I did the unthinkabl...

Re: What "others" are in the mail?

Have a 20CV Bugout with gray G10 inbound. Very interested to get it as I've not experienced 20CV or a Bugout. Curious to give Benchmade another go as well - my only other experience with them was a 154CM Grip I got in 2015 and recently sold after alternating years of abuse and disuse.
