Been using the same bottle of mineral oil for years. Great stuff.
I've transferred some oil into a needle-nosed oil bottle for easy dispensing of just a tiny amount at a time. The bottle can be found in a store that sells fly tying cements.

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
I have both the Native S90V CF & the red G10 Heinnie Haynes S30V drop point. The CF Native has a much more comfortable handle than the HH S30V, which is rather "boxy" affair by comparison. The form factor of a smooth liner-less CF or G10 handle, with the Native's tried & true blade...

Re: Spyderco P.I.T.S. M390 Sprint Run...?
Thanks all. Perhaps Mr Glesser would clear up who's the maker of the M390 P.I.T.S. Sprint? For a non-locking knife, I generally appreciate a stiffer action. I'd think that eventually I'll be able to slow roll this blade a little easier. In the meanwhile, many thumb push-ups. ;) For now, as with my t...

Spyderco P.I.T.S. M390 Sprint Run...?
I was surprised to find a P.I.T.S. M390 Sprint Run Slipit at S&R Knives (my favourite Canadian source of decent blades in the 1990s.) Been looking for this particular P.I.T.S. version for a couple of years now. Needless to say, I had to order one, which came today. This knife has a fantastic fit...

Thank you Richard.
The Knife Hub sounds like another possible "low tech" option for me to try.

Re: Where & how can I to sell a Spyderco knife?
Thank you to all that offered help. Last night I wrote a long reply to William, my first respondent. By the time I came to post it this afternoon, all that writing was gone ( I had to sign in again). I suppose I should have put the post into editor or preview mode. Thanks to Danke I was redirected t...

Where & how can I to sell a Spyderco knife?
The above is not a trick question. I have very poor digital skills, when it comes to operating a laptop, using a cell phone, the latest TV or handheld device. I also do not belong to any social media groups like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X?), Tic Tok & others that I cannot even name. Don't s...

Thanks all.
So, a tight clip is a common problem. I will try one of the methods described above.

revieving the pressure of pocket clips...?
The spring pressure of the chromed pocket clip of my stainless steel (Seki) Spyderco Worker is in a word, extreme. It is very difficult to fit this knife into my jean pockets & also hard to extract the knife. Even if the handle is smooth & slippery stainless. This clip has the same (shallow ...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Whittled away three hard, Russett apples with a slice of Spanish Iberico cheese. Took me a half a year to screw up the courage to use my Damasteel bladed Urban for food prep. I was concerned about the acid in fruit discolouring the Damasteel blade material. But, no stains formed on the Damasteel &am...

Re: Knives With Rounded Spine
I have two Damasteel Urbans that are have blades that are not crowned , as such, but are buttery smooth along the edges of the spine, inside & along the edges of the spydie hole. The plunge line is polished to a smooth transition. A lot of TLC was lavished on these expensive damascus blades. By ...

Re: G10 Sanding And Polishing
Thanks Ranger Ike, for your excellent step-by-step instructions. You produced beautiful results on those HH G10 UKPK scales. The scales on my Heinnie Haynes Red G10 Urban were so roughly textured that they've quickly shredded my jean pockets. I had thought of smoothing out the scales by hand (using ...

Evil D., I agree with you about being cautious about dealings on-line. My buying & selling of classic fishing tackle on the internet , has been for the most part successful. It was comforting to be dealing with folks who understand & share in one's interests. I only had one disappointing epi...

Re: The TLC of a user Damasteel blade...?
ZrowsN1s, when you reprofile your Damasteel blade, what kind stones (hones) would you use? In my case, I do not consider my DS93X blade to be a super steel, therefore I'm just going to use my regular ceramic stones to perform a reprofiling. After that, to maintain & refine, a strop or perhaps a ...

Re: The TLC of a user Damasteel blade...?
I do not know very much about modern stainless steels, but have found out that RWL34 & PMC27 steels have 14% & 13% Chromium respectively, which would put this combination into the "stainless" camp. I'm sill curious though about the "real world" performance of these two st...

Re: The TLC of a user Damasteel blade...?
Buddafucco, how long have you had your Damasteel Urban? Yes, with one particular pair of denim shorts my handle quickly turned a lovely shade of baby blue, but as you have said, some mild detergent did bring back its former "ivory" glory. I am already on the lookout though, for a good pair...

The TLC of a user Damasteel blade...?
New owner of a Damasteel Urban Slip-it knife. Mine is an absolute gem, but like all of my knives it has to be used. Common sense would dictate light use, cutting soft things, things that do not harbour grit. I'd think that rinsing off & wiping the knife after each use would make sense. Regular l...

Excluding Ebay, where else (on-line) can you sell your quality pocket knives? I've had a life long interest in pocket knives, but would not consider myself either a collector or a knife enthusiast. As a long time fly tier & a fly fisher, I have developed a love for "classic fly fishing gear...
