Wanting Some Good Cargo Work Pants
Wondering if anyone has suggestions for some good cargo work pants. There are a lot of good looking "tactical" pants out there these days and I'm not really sure what to think of one brand next to the other. (By the way there is a serious overuse of the word tactical as an adjective for pr...

Re: The Days of the Milkman May Be Numbered!
Not that I expect the milk I can get from Walmart to be very nutritious anyway, but does powdering reduce the nutritional value of the milk in the process?

Since 2016, Conspiracy Theorists have been batting .800 or better. More like 0%. :eye-roll 0% huh. Friend, you won't be changing any minds here. I'd rather not see this thread devolve into a pointless back and forth though. Since you have already voiced your opinion, let's leave it at that.

Re: The First Pig-Human Kidney Transplant
Wow, they only last so long... That is not a fun thought. One of my younger brothers needed open heart surgery, he was born with a hole in his heart the size of a nickel. Very stressful time, but they put a patch over the hole and said it was good for life. I would have a hard time thinking about ne...

Ha ha, yeah, plastic is not good for you. I have a lot of health related knowledge that I have gained from my mom who has researched an abundance of topics in order to deal with her numerous health issues. I don't have a problem if people don't think such things are real, but I am more than comforta...

Flattening Whestones
I have been looking around for a new flattening technique for my whetstones and I was hoping to pick the brains of anyone who has used any of the various methods I'm considering. The first method is adhesive backed sandpaper on glass. I have used Wet or Dry sandpaper before, but the issue is that it...

Interesting, so the practice is not entirely new. Well, I can certainly say that I hope it does develop into a safe, effective solution that can help so many people.

Yeah, unfortunately fish absorb many of the toxins that we have leaked into the ocean, so many fish that used to be perfectly good for you are no longer very healthy to eat.

Is paper better, or do they usually coat those in plastic anyway? I don't know exactly what they coat paper in to make it able to hold liquid.

Re: The First Pig-Human Kidney Transplant
Well I guess we'll see if it doesn't cause any issues down the road for that patient. Some problems might not surface until some time after the transplant. This idea is partially interesting and partially, I don't know, disconcerting? I guess I just worry that every new biological innovation might n...

Hey scandi, I greatly appreciate your interest. currently still gathering all the materials I need to make my first knife, I’m going to be trying the file jig method, i got the eye bolt, and some files, and I already got some 1095 carbon steel in that I’m going to be working with on my first blades...

Re: The Days of the Milkman May Be Numbered!
That's a bummer, but I can't say I'm surprised, I didn't even know anyone still delivered milk in recent time. Unfortunately once this service goes away there is little chance of it's return. I think I'm way too old school for a young adult living in these times, most modern developments do not appe...

Out Of Production Fixed Blade
I remember seeing a picture of a really cool Spyderco fixed blade on here once, it is a knife that I know is no longer in production. It was a midsized blade, micarta handle, I remember Sal commenting that it was intended to be full on custom quality knife. I was trying to search for a picture of it...

Thank you, it is quite a burden, but I have learned that you have to take life with it's challenges and not let yourself lose your appreciation for what is still great about living. If your not thankful even with such ailments, you will eventually lose your mind over it, which is a road I plan to av...

Re: EDC Hygiene: Fixed Blade VS. Folder
Huh, many of these answers surprise me, but I guess not everybody has suffered major health problems like most of my family has. I am what I would say is not unreasonably careful about what I touch before eating. At public restaurants I don't use my hands directly to touch much. I have a premature s...
