Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

I would love to see the Worker revived for as an anniversary knife but I suspect something like a super special Delica is more likely.

Re: Question about lanyard holes.........

I do not use the lanyard holes on my knives. I also don’t like pocket clips which probably makes me a real outlier compared to the rest of the group here. Lanyards are nice looking an all when done correctly but they do not provide me with any advantages. I should probably add that I am an office wo...

Re: Dragonfly vs. Lil' Native

This thread inspired me to carry my Dragonfly for a day and then carry my Lil’ Native for a day and compare them. The Dragonfly seems to fill almost all of the boxes. That point on the spine is the big turn off for me. The Lil’ Native checks off almost all of the same boxes but the smooth contours m...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Sounds like too much pressure leading to an overexaggerated burr being formed and ultimately crumbling your edge. Weaken the burr before jumping to your next stone, ending with alternating passes per side on each stone before moving on in your progression, and see if that doesn't lead to a sharp ed...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Thank you. I had not considered the amount of pressure that I was putting on the knife while sharpening. I will give it a try tonight.

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

I have a question concerning sharpening Super Blue blades. I have a Dragonfly sprint run with that blade steel as a laminate with another steel. I don’t recall the other steel but that is not the problem. Is there any trick or special sharpening equipment to sharpen the Super Blue steel? I have shar...

Re: Dragonfly vs. Lil' Native

Out of curiosity has anyone grind/file down the point in the spine of a Dragonfly to make it more comfortable to carry? That is my only real gripe with it compared to the Lil’ Native.

Re: Dragonfly vs. Lil' Native

I have both a G-10 Dragonfly and a G-10 Lil’ Native in a backlock. I prefer the G-10 Lil’Native but not by much. The big sticking point with the Dragonfly is the point on the blade spine. Sine I don’t use pocket clips the spine pokes me an sometimes scratch’s me while I am fishing out my house keys....

Re: K390 Dragonfly2 question

Yes, I am buying directly from Spyderco for the OpsFocus discount. I wasn’t sure if the K390 version was a sprint run like the blue and gray Zome run of Dragonfly’s.
Thank you.

K390 Dragonfly2 question

I have been waiting for the Spyderco Store to get another shipment of the K390 Dragonfly’s. Were they a sprint run? Does anyone know if they will another run of them or are they a discontinued item?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Seki City back lock quality in 2022?

My experience with recent Seki made lockbacks/mid lock is a Dragonfly and Delica. Both of them are from the Blue/grey Zome sprint run and they are rock solid. I have no issues with either.

Re: Cricket Lightweight

Sal, I have to admit that I love the idea of a Slip-it Cricket. I have one of the stainless steel models and it does make a great office knife. I think a slip joint on this model would work well.

I voted no.

In this day and age of “super steels”, I think a set of coarse & fine Diamond (or CBN) rods should be a MUCH higher priority.
I agree with Haunted House, with the new supersteels priority for additional CBM or diamond rods should take precedence.

This is a knife that I haven’t carried in a long time. It has been sitting in the center console of my little SUV. I have decided that it deserves better.
