Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)
I went ahead and ran through Drubieg's liner bending process again and the used a bit of blue loctite to finish it up. I spent a few hours trying different things but this was what ended up working out for me.
Thanks all for the assistance. This is a really good forum!
Here's the result...

Re: Striving For a Healthy Long Life
Second issue: Weight lifting. As you know from our chats I like good food. Mashed potatoes a big one but they are full of starch. A guy warned me that in our 40s to 60s and older we sadly cannot eat like we did in our teens and 20s, and if we do, we will face very bad health problems.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)
This helped me.
I took apart the knife and bent the liner as shown on the diagram. While there is still a favoring to the show side it's better than it was and all the screws are tightened down. The action is good.
I may be able to improve it further if I gave it another try. But I'm ok with it ...

For anyone with centering issues with their M2, I posted this a while ago in the chief LW thread... Hope it adds a helpful dimension. As was said somewhere above, sometimes you need to flex the scales/liners.

Re: What is your all time favorite steel?
I have consistently appreciated the class of steels that 14c28n, lc200n, aebL are in. Good edge stability, stainlessness and sharpen ability are what I prefer most in my knife steels. I like them to be easy to maintain and sharpen, and won't chip when I hit hard things.

Sorry to hear about the diagnosis JD.
Sounds like you are trying to take a well rounded approach to treatment. I see you trying to do what you can with your diet, while still being willing to see an oncologist as very reasonable. It's easy to see the loudest and most opinionated voices here take a ...

That looks very thin and nice. What’s the degree measurement of the edge bevel?
Thanks, I got as ...
