Re: Mule Dock

defenestrate: stacking is a great idea, requires one to obtain many more mules for test & analysis !!
Actually, vertical stress would be an issue, and interlocking layers would also be nice.
Already have a mini-lid done that is semi-secure, but not currently worthy of stacking.

Re: Mule Dock

And thanks guys for the kind words, obviously I enjoy the challenge of it all. The mule dock model was a major step up the learning curve for me. My first functional design was a rectangular pocket knife holder (X9), six slots hold the awesome spydie hole.. xnmw: good idea, for the wall, it needs a ...

Mule Dock

needed a dock for parking 7 mules, my new 3D printer answered the call. FreeCad -> PrusaSlicer -> AnyCubic Kobra 2 Pro -> AnyCubic std PLA Done in PLA thermoplastic, it's too brittle for the long term but ok for prototype. Took 3H 15m, used up 135 feet of PLA, and worked the 1st time !! combo of M39...

and found a better filament for this project, AnyCubic standard PLA, printed it again with slicer "fuzzy" skin:

Re: Heavy Duty 3D Printed Big Brown Scales for my BBB Mule

jumped into the deep end of 3D printing tks to OP, found a file that looks like an early version of OP scales.
printed a set of PLA+ scales using "fuzzy" surface texture in the slicer with following results :

Re: How'd you wrap your mule handles with paracord? (pics welcome)

7 snake knot lanyard and a simple handle wrap on the bare blade. 8 ft of cord on a mule in M398. it started with a couple horizontal runs under the vertical wraps to bulk up the handle. Tag ends are left loose so it can be unwrapped easily with no tools. https://a4.pbase.com/g13/72/58272/2/173347457...

Re: MT39P – CPM 15V Mule Team Dropping Soon!

A quick observation: comparing the AEB-L mule to 15V mule, the 15V is noticeably better finished on the tang for tang edge and hole edge chamfering, fwiw..

Re: MT39P – CPM 15V Mule Team Dropping Soon!

Mine came today, 17° per side and plenty sharp.
My simple cutting test of a few cross cuts on 550 paracord was good, but not great.
Plans are to diamond sharpen it to 15° per side to a near polish, in the near term.

Re: MT37P - AEB-L Mule Team Dropping Soon

Find it interesting that BBB H/T AEB-L mule sharpens more like 420H vs less like my Manix 2 in S110V , a good thing !
