Re: Manix jimping poll

Honestly I really don't like the handle jimping on the liners of the Manix 2. I bought one many years ago and immediately didn't like it because of the jimping. It's a pitty too because it is a really cool pattern. I had an older Manix 83mm that I liked a lot. A tank of a knife and it didn't have th...

Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?

Got mine at 12:05PM (CT) - luckily I remembered that a drop was happening and popped over to see it was live. I have similar plans to play with: 1. sharpening methods and 2. asymmetric bevels. I expect Rex76 to be a decent shop knife: 15.5-17.5° bps, with a semi-toothy edge (20-15 micron), light st...

Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?

Right on guys thanks for answering my question and giving me some insight on what your plans are for this particular Mule. It's a pretty sweet steel but I just can't swing it at this very moment in my life.

Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?

That sounds good Crazywednesday. I'd like to get one of these myself but I just can't spring it right now with all my knife purchases of late. And I have the SRS13 mule that I kind of bought for the kitchen and haven't really used yet.

Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?

I'm curious what you guys intended use is on this particular mule. I don't know a whole lot about REX 76 as it's a very rare steel to see used in knives. Are you guys planning on using it for a hard use utility knife, an outdoors fixed blade, an EDC, a kitchen steel? I'm just curious if you guys don...

I'd love to see a new version of the Lum Chinese Folder or the C105 Schempp Persian 75mm in maybe K390 or Cruwear.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I hope you guys don't mind me posting two pictures. I wanted to show a clear one of my old school Endura, and also one of it on top of a pile of blackberry shoots that I cut with it this afternoon. They will quickly invade your yard/property here in the Pacific Northwest if you don't stay heavily on...

Re: Your Magna Cut Mule performance.

Thanks for the Report Ramonade! Sounds like the stuff might just be near as good as the rumors say, concerning corrosion resistance. I still haven't tried anything with Magnacut yet, but will probably have to get something to test here pretty soon.

Cool testing guys! I have journeyed here across the far seas from land of the Bladeforums and it's great seeing this amount of real-world testing you guys are doing around these parts, thanks for the work!

Does anyone know about how many of these are going to be produced? Sorry if it's common knowledge, I'm new to these parts. I just skimmed 6 pages of this thread and didn't see anything though. Thanks.

Re: Sharpmaker questions

I know this is a few days old but I just wanted to share, in reference to you Elmax question, that I touched up my S110V PM2 the other day on my Sharpmaker with the standard stones and it worked really well. This was super surprising to me, but made me happy.

Re: Free Handing On The Sharpmaker?

I'm not the best freehand sharpener, my method now days is reprofile all my knives on a KME when they're ready under 20 degrees per side, and then keep them touched up with the 40 degree sharpmaker slots until it's time for another little reprofile job. However I have used the Sharpmaker as a benchs...

I live in an Oxford House, which is a recovery house for people coming out of addiction of different sorts. I've been here for a year now. I'm the "chore coordinator" (6 out of the 10 of us have jobs that we do as a service to the house and our roomates. We all have one chore that needs to...
