Re: dragonfly bottom of pocket carry

I have a Zome I carry clipless.

I leave the screw attached just so I know where to find it. The clip is in a hardware baggie.

It feels much better in the hand without the clip.

Sits in the pocket fine.

Re: vg-10 observations

VG-10 is very corrosion resistant.

It will do quite well for you in your use.

Re: Tree planting.. help

Besides your Personal knives, whatever you decide to take, might I suggest picking up some knives you just don’t care about? You can get a Three pack of Morakniv Basic 511 fixed blades for under $30.00.. Carbon steel will corrode, but would be pretty good for the sort of work you are going to be doi...

Re: DLC Coating is the real deal

Here’s the search I should have done first:

BLACK BLADE COATINGS

Michael Janich breaks it down pretty thoroughly.

I should have done this first.

Searched on both. It has been covered repeatedly.

Re: St. Nick's Knives - Exclusive Jester Red FRN CPM 4V Black Coated Blade

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I will be trying to snag one of these. Not so much for the 4V, which is pretty overkill, but that blade is perfection, really like the shape of this knife. This knife didn’t sell well in regular production? Why not? I would really like this in VG10 SE. It screams ...

Re: Which Dragonfly?

While the H1 SE, with its high hollow grind, is chief in my heart amongst the Four Dragonflies that I use, and the FFG leaf blade is a workhorse, given its diminutive size, in practice it is the Emerson Opener that is always carried, in the waistband, whatever other knife may be in play, on a partic...

Re: New Members - Moderation Queue

Hi - I was fixing a typo in my first post which caused it to get pulled again Just letting you know I added to the post, namely, I’m guessing instead of I guessing.

That’s it. Didn’t want you to have to hunt around looking for what changed. Thanks.

Re: Would you buy a VG10 knife in 2022?

First post, been lurking for a while. This thread seemed like a good place to jump in. I’ve been thinking about the current situation in the knife community vis à vis steels and who likes what and why. A bit of background: my first modern folder was a ClipIt Rescue, in AUS-8, with that extra long se...
