I've noticed the very same about using a single notch, but never put 2 and 2 together.

I doubt I'd buy a skinner specifically, but a bird and trout, a fillet, a boning knife... I'd be in!

Well, that's a great point. I sure hope you're right, and expect you are! For some reason I was thinking about the Stretch 2 and Police 4, rather than the XL itself.

Yes! The K390 and Salt Stretch XLs are automatic purchases for me.

Plain edge for me. I have a few serrated knives and, because of the great instructions from David and Vivi, I've learned how to make them sharp, but I just do a quicker and better job with a plain edge. This knife begs for a regrind to make the plunge line vertical and maximize the potential of the thin bladestok. But then it's a $200 knife.

I don't own a Shaman because I prefer thinner blades, but if 52100 became available I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Edited to say I'd probably buy any medium-to-large 52100 folder in a heartbeat.

I didn't vote, because I'm an outlier. I know I'm in the minority here, but by far the most important factor for clip placement is how that particular knife feels in hand. I don't care about tip-up or tip-down, or right-hand / left-hand carry, per se. When I get a new knife I try every clip position...
