Re: Shaman SPY27 nearly protruding tip

I have to say, my Knifecenter Exclusive Shaman S90V and Bodacious look exactly like that. I assumed that was the way the blades are supposed to sit in the handle now. (My old S30V Shaman from back when it was first released has the tip much more "sheathed" by the handle when closed. )

Re: I’m doing something wrong on vg10 sharpening

For me Vg10 is the most unplesant steel I ever owned, somehow"gummy" , annoying to deburr, loses sharpness quite quickly and smooths out.
This is not really an answer to your question, just wanted to vent about this steel.

Re: Mystery Knife Center exclusive coming 6/23 (S90V/burlap micarta Shaman)

Bought one. Also bought one the last time around, was worse at sharpening than I am now, sold it, then regretted the sale.
Nice to get another chance , and cheaper than secondary market! ;)

Future of Crucarta-family

In one of the recent Bladeshow videos, Eric says something to the effect of "We are doing the whole US Family" .
Maybe i misunderstood, or he misspoke ...
A shaman is probably off the table, because there was already a Sprint in Crucarta.

I would love a Native and a Native Chief however!
Those ...

Re: Price increases for 2024

So, did anything get more expensive? And by how much? I didn´t check the prices for quite a while, and they don't seem wild to me now (Jan 2).

Re: Reveal 14 Live!

Wow!

The Bodacious looks a little goofy, cant quite put my finger on it. But at the same time really compelling and "different". Will certainly try one!

Apart from that, the Military2 variants are surprising , and will make me try the model finally.

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!

Spyderco is first and foremost a knifemaker, not a dedicated online knife seller.
I appreciate this online sale, because it gave me an opportunity I wouldn´t otherwise have had. And while it took about an hour for me, in the end I got the knives I wanted. So thank you, Mr Spyderco!

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!

Took 1 hour from being able to load the seconds page, to putting knives into my cart , to entering my master card. But now I have a confirmation email. I hope there won´t be issues down the road with the credit card, but since this is the third time I´ve ordered from Spyderco.com, I am hopeful ...

Re: CPM 15V PM2

The european market for these seems to be a bit more chill. Although that luxury comes with the premium of relatively higher price. The PM2 is in stock still at one dealer, and even the Manix at another. I couldn´t resist the PM2. This is now my insurance in case I can´t score one of the upcoming ...

Re: CPM 15V PM2

So are these 15V sprint drops comparable to the Shaman Micarta Cruwear from a few years ago? The latter often gets mentioned as a very difficult to obtain piece.

Re: S110V question

My experience. I am sharpening with DMT Diamond and Spyderco CBN. It takes a longer time to get to a certain level of sharpness than K390. It is still very doable though, and shouldn´t take a crazy long time like hours or something. My S110V knife nicely shaves off the arms of my legs and arms, and ...

I doubt I'd buy a skinner specifically, but a bird and trout, a fillet, a boning knife... I'd be in!

Same handle as the Enuff, in Seki K390 blue!
It looks more like a slightly modified sprig, as per Phil Wilson´s homepage:

Re: Seki Made Phil Wilson Design?

The K390 Enuff 2 made me think about it.
A Phil Wilson Design (Meadows Skinner ? ? ) , with FRN handles, and K390.
That would be nice indeed I think.
(I ´ll get the Enuff 2 anyway)

Why specifically a Seki Japan made new knife?

A new design could be made anywhere, and cost of production ...
