Re: Siren CQI ?
It's very interesting to know what was done. I live outside US and it can be difficult to send my defective Siren (unlocks easily under medium pressure) to Spyderco

Re: Is Ballistol safe to treat the blades of knives with phosphor bronze washers? (not as pivot lubricant)
Ballistol is a great thing! I use it to clean and oil blade and pivot, also to clean G10. Never had problems with over 150 folding knives.

Edge-U-Cation
Sorry for the stupid question but I never understood how to translate "Edge-U-Cation". Please explain what this means to a person for whom English is not native :)

Re: Polliwog - BladeHQ sprint
Received mine yesterday and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. Overall fit and finish are fine, but the hollow grind is so shallow it almost looks like a flat grind, leaving it quite thick BTE. My original SS Poliwog has what I would consider Spyderco's standard hollow grind and a reasonable...

Re: Your Favorite Era In Spyder History?
1996-2002 for me, from C36 Military to C70 A.T.R.
C46 Lum Tanto, C54 Calypso, C55 Starmate, C60 Massad Ayoob...in fact almost all models from that period.
Taichung does a great job nowadays.

Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?
I have to say my Superleaf is the best opening knife I have , it’s smooth as glass , and pivot has never been adjusted . My ATR is a close second , both knives are very refined to open . MG2 Teflon (white) washers are very smooth. You'll find same action on Roc Cleaver, Starmate (re-run) and few ot...

Re: Poolhustler's Endura List and Pics!!!
Are you talking about one with Sal's signature etched on blade? About 1000-1200 were made, exclusive for distributor in Russia. Trying to find it for a year or so, still no luck.poolhustler wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 7:00 pmThe one that i would love to add is the one signed by Sal, of which i think only 100 were made.

Re: Suggestions for next Spyderco
If you are looking for something lightweight with compression lock I can suggest to look at Sage 5 FRN. Thinner blade stock (slices better), action is far better than on Para3 LW and overall quality is a bit better.

Re: Lil Native or Chaparral and why?
Like my Chaparrals for ergos, lock, weight, thin blade and profile. Lock works great, if spring is hard for your taste, you can do an easy mod (slide it a bit foward in it's place) to make lock much softer and get spydieflick ability :) Lil native has too thick blade for my taste and I'm not a fan o...

Re: Why all the Manix love?
Just wanted to note long evolution of compression lock.
If CBBL developed the same way as comp.lock did, we would see new CQI Manix with titanium cage, ceramic ball...
Trying to fantasize :)

Re: Why all the Manix love?
The Manix2 in G10 and LWT certainly have grown on me once the mechanism breaks in works like a charm I have Manix LW Maxamet without lock stick, also I have bought two Manix G10 Rex45. One of them didn't have lockstick and I put in my knife case. Second manix had lockstick and I used it for a year,...
