Re: 3d printed scales with patterns/textures

My brother and I made our first test a couple of weeks ago. The fit is nice and tight. However, he wanted to see how much he could cut the printing time without having bad results. I think he still has some tuning to do (his Prusa was out of order for a while, we just barely got it running again). I...

Re: Your Magna Cut Mule performance.

Plenty around at more than triple the price! A lot of flippers got in on the action sadly… Well there are some places where you can find these at a more decent price, I won't hint to it since it's against forum rules. But there's a lot of Spyderco enthusiasts that do not take action in the high ben...

Re: MT33P - CPM REX 76 - Limit Lifted!

Tuesday evening I posted on the Spyderco sub reddit that the Mule Team dropped. I assumed it was going to sell out immediately(it was my first mule team drop) but when it didn't I figured I'd give others the heads up. It was pretty cool bc there were 4 + people that had forgotten about the drop and...

Re: Your Magna Cut Mule performance.

Thanks for the great explanation. Man, now that I've got a REX76, I want that Magnacut Mule even more. Second run! Second run!!! Sadly second runs aren't a thing but you should pretty easily be able to find one ;) there was a lot of them and there is a lot of people owning a MagnaCut Mule that dont...

Re: Native 5 Fluted CF disassembly?

I didnt have any problem, but the stop pin might indeed be the culprit.

I personally disassembled it several times without any issues, but the octogonal shape pivot having no liners to sit in, I try to avoid unnecessary disassembly because the CF is not very durable at its thinnest points.

Re: Would you want a Damascus Mule?

Would be interested in damacore ( the DC18N variant, best damas steel in my eyes). Regular Damas don't really interests me just because of how it performs. Its beautiful alright, but not my thing ^^. That said, I might be booked in the next months to put a custom handle on a MT07 so I'll make sure t...

Re: MT33P - CPM REX 76 - Limit Lifted!

Looks like it's out of stock, I'm happy !

I was afraid some would be left and Spyderco would then want to revise their numbers.

It's good if it sells in a couple of days, without having to rush the second they become available (even if I'll certainly keep doing that :squinting-tongue )

Re: Is the Yojumbo flickable?

Yes, as every Spyderco knife I own (edit: except the swayback, the Des Horn yes, but not the Swayback obviously). But I'd like to add to what ladybug93 said. The Yojimbo is even better. I sold mine because a friend wanted it, and I (at the time) had found a good place to buy it cheap. Sadly it never...

Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?

I'm curious what you guys intended use is on this particular mule. I don't know a whole lot about REX 76 as it's a very rare steel to see used in knives. Are you guys planning on using it for a hard use utility knife, an outdoors fixed blade, an EDC, a kitchen steel? I'm just curious if you guys do...

Re: Cruwear PM2 Lanyard Tube size

Yeah machined lanyard tubes can move. Some of them are a tight fit, and this added to the 2 body screws just up from the position of the lanyard is often enough to block any movement.

Robin i did not know you had those feelings. Re: 1st Mule Team purchase: Tried to give me a heart attack

I'm happy for you my man ! Purchasing my first Mules helped me learn that I had what it takes to make complete knives. Making the handles is my favorite part, but now I have a whole universe of stuff to learn and improve on.

I'm sure it'll be the same for you ! Cheers,
Robin.

Ah, good news for you defenestrate ! So with some luck they still grouped both o...

Re: MT33P - CPM REX 76 Mule Team Release!

I personally just want to see what spyderco does with these steels. The potential of every steel is good and all, but the world of knife big production rarely provides "excellent" heat treats. So you can only really wait to try it to see how it goes. I always have M390 in my mind, wich I o...

Re: Rex 76 mule. Who got one?

Got two that were planned, and one after restriction was lifted ! Sadly, even with Kristi great help and advices, they couldn't group it into one shipment, so shipping to France is harshfor two parcels ! Perhaps you could find someone to ship you the package of three to france and redirect the two ...
